Starting getting serious about better health last week. I could use some friends!

40 years old, here! I am lifting and running and tracking eats.

Currently in Arizona. (Military wife.)

40 here, too! Just ten years ago, I could still out-train a mediocre diet but no more! Due to a rough pregnancy 8 years ago, I lost my mojo, and I'm only beginning to find it again now after gaining 80 lbs. Ugh. It's way easier to put on weight now and harder to take it off. I wish I had tackled things right away after my…

Training for the Rugged Maniac coming up in the spring. My friend talked me into it. I won't be anywhere near fit enough by then, but I want to be stronger and able to run at least part of the time, so I've been training hard and eating better. Losing weight is a bonus! https://ruggedmaniac.com

I don't often have time to read many posts, especially long ones, but I'm so glad I read yours! Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm incredibly moved and inspired.

Amazing and inspirational! Congratulations on your wedding!! May you have many happy years ahead!

Natural chunky PB all the way!

When I was previously very fit (before my youngest), I looked trim and healthy in the 140's. I got down in the 130's and looked athletic, but as I tried to get lower, I started looking less healthy. I have a medium frame with a decent amount of natural muscle. In fact, most people assumed that I weighed 10-15 lbs less than…

That's so inspiring!

Another SAHM here that you can add! I've got 60-70 lbs to lose. I shoot for a balanced diet, but mainly I am making sure that I have a calorie deficit of 500 or so each day. I participate in group fitness classes currently (Zumba, spinning, and Group Power). <3

This is precisely why I swapped Weight Watchers for MFP. The new smartpoints program really punishes you for any sugar intake. Sure, I don't think I ought to be double-fisting C&H Pure Cane Sugar all day long. But when I'm on the go and grab a protein bar, I take exception to it being a third of my "daily points allowance"…

Interested! Is it too late?

Just turned 40! :D Military wife, mother of 6, and currently stationed in Southern Arizona. I used to be fit before my caboose baby (who recently celebrated her 7th birthday, eek!). I was starving on Weight Watchers, and I decided to check out my caloric intake on MFP. Turns out I was starving!! :s Doing circuit training…

Thank you!

I love this thread! Before I had my youngest and when I was at my fittest, I lifted heavy 4 days a week. I was still a little young and dumb, though, and while I did take measurements and progress pics, I was still a slave to a number on the scale. I often felt like a failure because I couldn't seem to get into the elusive…

Onederland which is about 11 pounds away. My mini goals that aren't scale-related are to track all my eats this week (cheats and all) and to workout 5 days this week.

I'm just returning, myself. And I, too, am using "He Did Deliver Me from Bondage" to help me get a handle on my compulsion to overeat. :) I would love an accountability partner. I'm in week 4, but only started to seriously exercise and eat right today.

I don't know if you'd get a refund, but I'd definitely take them back and tell them what's wrong with them--for you. Honestly, you should demand, if not a refund, a serious discount on a future purchase since your discomfort is because of their erroneous evaluation. /two cents

Holy cow! That's AWESOME!!

My sentiments exactly!

Oh, I have a reward system for everything! I even reward myself when I do all my workouts in a week (money--not food!). I have a long way to go, so to keep motivated I need not only incentives for short-term weight loss goals, but also for just plain consistency! (Need something to keep me going if I hit a plateau!) Here…

Amazing! (And "slight" difference? I can see a huge difference!)

That dress is gorgeous on you! Congrats! And you totally inspired me, I have each size from my current to when I was my fittest before hanging in my closet. I'm so excited to be able to wear those clothes again!

That's so awesome and inspiring! Thank you for sharing.

I have an entire wardrobe from when I was fit (before my last two pregnancies). I pull out the clothes every so often when my motivation is lagging. (They are cute--and I have the best workout clothes, too!)

I count it all. But then, I'm just getting started. Also, I try to keep within my macronutrient ratios.
