I'd love to be a part of this! 31F with about 60 pounds left to go of my 100 pound journey. Is anyone specifically doing low carb? I am counting carbs and calories. Would be great to swap recipes and motivation! Just back on the logging wagon after... ahem.. a while. Add me!

Just my two cents... I had a kidney transplant two years ago and I was recently put on Metformin due to high blood sugar. My doctors at the Mayo Clinic aren't worried about my kidney at all. I am almost positive it is helping me drop a few pounds.

It involves a fitness coach. I am just starting out, but no one has asked me anything about food.

I'm considering moving there! Any insights on the areas around Hampton? Or Richmond?

I'm out of ideas too! Diabetic, so I try to stay low carb.

You can add me. :) I've lost about 50 with another 50 to go.

I want to, but I am overwhelmed and don't know where to start.

I had a kidney transplant a year ago and will be on Prednisone for the rest of my life. I was terrified of blowing up. I told myself I would not let it ruin my efforts and I think of it as another hurdle I can overcome. You have already lost 25 pounds (go, you!!) So you know it can be done. Make the smartest choices you…

My sister lost 90 pounds in 6 months. She gained 120 the year after.

I can't see myself as any thinner. I'm down 50 pounds from my highest weight and still wear most of the same clothes. How can that even be?

How are you measuring calories burned? MFP is not accurate. Your best bet is a heart rate monitor or calorie tracking device, like a Fit Bit ir Polar watch. You've given no details (age, weight, types of exercise) and your diary is private so it will be difficult for people to give you much advice.

I think you know a great source of protein is meat. I was struggling getting protein because I hate being in the kitchen. I have found an amazing thing that helps me so much. It is called the T-fal Optigrill. You can make all sorts of meat in no time. One of the major bonuses is that you can put completely frozen meat and…

Bump for more open diaries. :)

I just talked to my doctor about this. I proudly told him I go once a day like clockwork. He said he was not impressed and that 3-4 times/day would be better. As long as it is "regular" and not diarrhea or really hard. Hope that isn't too graphic, but as we all know... everybody poops!

Right now MFP has me eating 1390 calories. I calculated my BMR as 1582 and TDEE is 2175. My current weight is 242. Can you help me figure this out? I currently work out 3-5 times a week doing a mix of cardio and weights. I want to start "lifting heavy" but that's another issue. :) Am I eating enough calories? How many…

I love that you replied to your own post... made me smile. Good luck with everything and feel free to add me. I'm on the app every day logging so I'm always around with a comment or smart *kitten* remark. :) -Kate

Can you explain the difference? What do you actually do?

Feel free to add me!

Hey there! I sent a request. You can accept it (if you like :)) by clicking on the little guy in the top right corner. Or you can send me a request if you want. :) -Kate

Question for you. Are you peeing less than you used to? Feel sluggish and tired? Have any random nose bleeds or high blood pressure? I am asking because this scenario reminds me of myself about 5 years ago. I did nothing and soon after found out I had kidney failure. I don't want to freak you out but it could be more…
