This is so very true! I no longer keep things like "fruit" snacks, Capri Sun, or Lunchables in my house. I never took the time before to read the nutrition labels on that stuff. YIKES! Thanks for your honesty about something that a lot of us struggle with

When I am PMS-ing I want to eat absolutely everything in sight!! To keep myself from doing that I pick a food (icecream, chocolate, whatever) and log it first thing in the morning. I then change my normal meals to have slightly less calories so I can enjoy that treat after a long day at work. I might be totally off base…

I weigh myself every morning, but I only record my weight about once a week. Flucuations are normal and expected, but I find that it keeps me focused on making healthy choices throughout the day.

Right after opening a cup of yogurt, I CANNOT proceed until I have licked the lid. No exceptions. If I'm walking and music comes on, I purposely walk faster or slower than the music so people won't think I'm sashay-ing on the catwalk or something.

I use ground turkey in place of ground beef in almost every recipe. I find that if you are making burger patties, meatballs, meatloaf, etc., they can turn out a little dry, so I just add in a small amount (like 1/4 cup per pound) of whole wheat breadcrumbs or steel cut oats.
