lemurcat12- your first sentence made me realize I knew that.. I really only watch my protein and fiber.. Yes.. my Fitbit does sync with MyFitnessPal.. I didn't realize that would affect it.. i only notice the protein changing.. no other macros. I guess I thought they were all weight based.

I do use the slim fast shakes as a breakfast sometimes.. but would never be a happy person eating them for two meals a day. I also doctor them up.. adding in a banana and PB2 and 1/2 a cup of ice in the blender. I only use the chocolate flavor.

If you are satisfied at the 1500 calories.. but feel bad you can't have a beer.. you did say you are a brewer right?? why not use the extra calories to have a beer in the evening??

Could you try to just up your calories a little, like say 100 calories daily for a week at a time.. just to work yourself up to your maintenance level.. then it wouldn't seem like you are all of a sudden making a big jump upwards calorie wise. I know it's not hard for me to add 100 calories a day.. maybe a glass of milk or…

I wouldn't put all the calories in my diary.. I would use whatever percentage of the 200g it actually was and enter that.. 180 = x% of 200 - - looks like 90% if my math skills haven't failed me.. - - totally agree with weighing everything though!!

I'm glad you have no issues with your serving size and have been able to get to your goal without the food scale.. Great for you.. but just as you don't need or want to use a food scale.. I have found it to be very enlightening and educational.

I NEVER expected upwards of a 25% discrepancy in a serving.. to me that's very eye opening.. and i will be weighing everything for a while - 100 calories a day does make a difference.. It adds up to an entire snack.
