I'm open too, just getting back on track after a Mother's Day splurge turned into 2 weeks of not staying consistent with either my new WOE, or tracking.
-
Mine is open too-you can see my bad habits! Lol :s

Funnily enough, I had it up in my browser: http://lowcarbyum.com/low-carb-soul-bread-review/ It's a detailed review with pics and the recipe and the link to the original with all the wonderful variations. Can't wait to try it, just had to track down one of the ingredients; xanthan gum (whatever that is!). My pharmacy was…

Those are all great rewards! New booties or shoes might be one for me too. My ultimate reward for getting to my long term goal is a Vitamix blender, but that's a bit pricy :p

I used to use them, but since starting LCHF have been eating more whole foods and less processed stuff and MIO seems to have fallen by the wayside. Like most people, I use lemon, lime, cucumber, which all add a hint of flavour. But, my new favourite thing to add that is delicious added with the usual suspects, or even on…

Our two new babies we just adopted (they are brothers), and my not impressed sucky boyfriend cat lol

Is it possible to invite someone to this forum? I have a friend who is a diabetic who I have convinced to join MFP to take a look at what I have to eat as a example of a LCHF diet, and I'd also love for him to see this post (among others)

@KnitOrMiss Wow! Awesome tips and perfect timing. Discussing setting up gym time with a friend and we were debating early am, like 5 (blech!) or 8/9pm. I was leaning towards morning, but I think the evening might be better after all! Cup of tea for caffeine and a quick weightlift :) I have heard about alarm clocks that use…

Luckily at Canada's favorite coffee place the standard cream is at least 18% so I am good to go :0) People sometimes say that's why we are all so addicted to it: the 'unhealthy' fat content lol. I used to think that and switch to milk when I tried to cut calories-funny how that didn't work (and tasted ickier too). Now…

Hmmmmmmm so interesting! And probably why those those late night snacks (that were usually carbs) were my very worst enemy once upon a time. As a night person, I'd be up later and eating at a point in the night when I didn't have enough time after the snack to get into ketosis while sleeping. It's all making sense now!…

@KnitOrMiss That is very interesting info! Thank you :) Definitely going to do the cardio in the daytime-ideally early in the am if I can haul my lazyazz out of bed! But the LCHF seems to be helping with that. As for weights 4-6pm; unfortunately I'm like @Deena_Bean. For now that's the busy time for me and the kids :/
-
@Deena_Bean Thanks for that answer! All great stuff to know. I don't lift weights (yet!), but I think that's what I need to do like you say to really change my shape. I play derby and run/walk but I think some heavy lifting might be in order :p

I don't have anything to add but I am interested in all these great suggestions. also glad to see the occasional 'treat' seems to fit into a maintenance mode for you because my height and build are the same as yours and your ideal range matches mine. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you lose/how long did it take…
-
See, that sounds so doable as a long term WOE to me! For now I think I am being stricter with the carbs, if not exactly Keto, because I am trying to really control my diet to enhance weight loss now. But later, for maintenance...nice to see that it works well for you and you feel its sustainable :0)
-
Brb trying this NOW!
-
Right on! I sent through a request last night to join. Excited to connect with others!
-
Wow! You are having a fantastic experience and I hope mine matches it! But you know, your description of euphoric really rings a bell with me. I just feel so lucky and capable and like things will work out! It feels good to feel good again and it is amazing to me to think that I am feeling this with such a simple change.…

I love 100% crunchy peanut butter as a dip for green apple slices. Prob not too low carb but still a healthy snack
-
Lol me too because I was starting to feel cursed' thank you for that info about some people's experiences. I don't know if I'm fully 'Keto' necessarily but trying out the ketosis thing for weight loss. I will try to get to my 'goal weight' and then stay on a low carb maintenance diet I think. I think I tend to get more…

Hmmm cool, I did not know that about the benefit to those with pcos. I just made a post (finally figured it out!) about my experience with menopause which is again a hormonal physical transition.
-
Thank you, that was exactly it! I clued in after reading Karlyn's post
-
Lmao ok I didn't see your responses until just now but that's EXACTLY it, the emoji thing! I guess that's the downfall of my smiley face addiction!! And good idea with posting a note! But now that I know I will try again...this seems like a good introduction to me being a goof yet again! Lol Ok my question has to do with…
-
And it did cut it off again...ok I give up posting on the forum but please add me if you are a fellow low carber, especially if you're in menopause and we can chat via message
-
And it happened again!! Very frustrating...I am using the app from my phone maybe that's it or maybe there is a secret force that doesn't want me to share my experience and ask my question
-
Argh I don't know why this keeps happening but over half my post got eaten up by goblins as it posted
-
Interesting! I have really noticed a change but it can't be because of weight loss yet as I only just started eating Keto. I am showing ketones on the Keto strips though. I think for me carbs really act as a downer and cutting them out means more energy, better mood and no bloating with are all good things for feeling up…
-
Hi! I am new to Keto (as of Tuesday) but an old hand at yo-yo dieting. I think I have an addiction to carbs or something...the more I eat, the more I crave (and bloat ugh). But this seems to be breaking that cycle for me. I am feeling good after the first couple of days and have energy and no bloated feeling
-
bump to try later
-
Wow!! You look wonderful. You have worked hard and it's inspirational to see the great results. I hope to get down to your current weight and it's good to see what that could look like. Thank you for sharing. :0)
