Yes it's definitely possible that with the new training I am not burning as much, so I will definitely pay attention to that. Our programming is good, they definitely give you a good rotation of muscle groups being used, you don't get consecutive days of the same muscle group being used. Some days it's heavy lifting, other…

I've been doing Crossfit for 2 years, so it's definitely not a workload my body isn't used to. I also am fairly active when I'm not at the gym, there are rarely days when I'm sitting around doing nothing. Our programming has changed and we are doing a lot more weight lifting and strength training programs on a daily basis,…

Update :) I upped my calories to the 3100-3400 range for 3 months, and I've put on 20 lbs :s I don't know where it's really gone, I doubt it's all fat. Maybe a couple of pounds of it are but for the most part my clothes fit exactly the same and I don't look like I've gained any weight at all. I'm just so confused on where…

Ahhh ok, I thought RMR and BMR were the same thing, didn't realize they were different. Thank you for your help, I'm going to raise up to 2,700 and then gradually after that to the 3000-3200 range for about 2 months and hope that this works.
-
Thanks, I'll try gradually increasing it. With the fat test, the computers come up with the numbers, I'm not 100% sure how it's calculated. I attached the test results so you can see what it looks like

Sorry, I just re-read your reply and see that you said 9-12 weeks

I crossfit 5-6 days a week and the lengths of the wods can range from 15 mins to 60 mins, so it's hard to say exactly the amount of time per week that I exercise. That doesn't include our warm ups, which are typically about 15 mins, and also 2x/week I do an endurance wod on top of the regular one, which is 20-40 mins,…

^^This right here! I was 345 lbs when I started crossfit and it's the best thing I ever did for myself. It was the only thing that ever motivated me to do better. Find that thing for you and do it! Keep trying things until you find what you like. In the meantime, walk! Walking burns a ton of calories, but you'll need to…

Woah, yeah my box is really big about making sure everything gets wiped down after you've touched it. If you don't wipe down your equipment you can't come back. That being said the floor is always a pretty nasty place, no matter how often you clean it. I've heard some of the girls say they get it really bad on their back…

Hmm...Thank Goodness we use Wodify, otherwise I'd never remember any of this lol Deadlift 317.5 Push Press 115 Total 432.5 Never did my 1RM on Back squat, but here are some others: Snatch 85 C&J 110 Front Squat 125 OHS 105

I would say that you couldn't even notice that I'd lost anything until I was down about 50 lbs, after that the changes were much more noticeable. Unfortunately when you have 100+ to lose it takes bigger numbers for people to notice it. Just keep doing what you're doing, don't get discouraged. It helps to see the changes…

I had a friend who had a problem with this, she used Panoxyl soap and it helped get rid of it. Panoxyl is a acne bar soap but also comes in liquid form. Otherwise you could also try to wear t-shirts instead of tanks, likely whatever is causing the acne is on the floor that we're always rolling around on.

Yes, 40 lb weight vest is RX and you also have to do it as written, no breaking it up.

I did Murph for the first time last year, finished just under 60 mins but that was doing jumping pull ups. This year I'll be trying with Banded, hopefully I can beat my old time! It's definitely a brutal workout, especially in the hot Florida sun.

I'm also "Big Boned". It's just the way my frame is, I'll never be a size 4 and I'm okay with that. It's easier to say than it is to do, but don't worry about what other people think. Worry about how you feel about yourself! That's all that matters. Learn to be happy in in your skin. When I started my weight loss journey I…

Thanks! I'll have to try making these!

Also 6' here and active with a lot to lose (unfortunately lol). Feel free to add me :)

Rudest thing EVER? I've heard my share, that's for sure, but the rudest comment ever was when I was walking through the courtyard in High School and some jerks yelled out "Free Willy" as I walked by them. Since it was in between classes, and no one else was out there, I knew it was directed towards me. I kept my head high…

We have the olympic lifting classes a couple of times a week, but I haven't attended one yet. Everyone that does says how much they have helped with form. Keep trying it, one class is never enough :)

I've heard Turkey Pumpkin Chili is really good, I haven't tried it though myself. There's lots of recipes out there for it.

I've always been a curvy girl, and my husband loves me like that. He is not exactly happy about my new endeavors, but it's about me being happy with what I see and not him so he's dealing with it. I fell into the "he loves me the way i am" thing for a long time, and put on a lot of weight doing it because i had put his…

I got started because I made a promise to a friend before I actually knew what I was committing to. I told her I'd try it, then I saw her in a competition and immediately regretted it. When my box ran a groupon for the beginners course she reminded me of the promise, and since I'm no liar I signed up. Had a panic attack…

I actually use my regular old razor that I used to shave my legs! In the shower I'll just hit my hands with it after the skin gets nice and soft, keeps my hands looking nice. Crossfit doesn't have to be the Ugly Hands Sport! After I get out of the shower I also hit it with a heavy grit nail file just to smooth it all out.

Just joined the 300# club today! I'm not gonna lie, super pumped about this!!

For years I've been told I should be a plus size model, my reply has always been that I'm too "plus size" for modeling. Robin is gorgeous, but I don't consider her to be plus size. In the model world anything higher than a 4 is considered big. So sad.

Feel free to add me, I've been coming here for about 8 months and I crossfit 5 days a week.

Nicely said!

No, It's not "normal", it even has it's own disorder name: Body Dysmorphia. It's when you look at yourself and see something other than what's there. That being said, a lot of people who have lost weight experience this. I think we've gotten so used to seeing ourselves one way that it's hard to see what's actually being…

Feel free to add me, been here for about 8 months and down 70 lbs
