Just curious, but the people that say to stop drinking them, did they give a reason on WHY to stop drinking them? If so, what's the reason? Umm...sorry, but when you come on a PUBLIC site like this, you open yourself up for any sorts of comments, especially when talking about dieting or losing some weight while pregnant. Save your breath and just wait for the doctors appointment instead of coming on a public forum like this asking for the advice that you did.…

This. When I got serious about really needing to lose weight, I learned that drinking a little heavily on the weekends was no longer an option, to me at least. Cut down on the heavy part of it and maybe drink diet coke in between drinks, if you drink mixed drinks.

On a previous post I was given some advice on changing some other habits which I am doing. Thanks for the replies though! This is just one more thing I thought of that may have thrown a wrench in my progress the past month.

I'm 43 and it isn't THAT bad to lose, I don't think any way. How many calories do you get a day and how many are you eating?

Since it's a new drug, what are the side effects? And what will happen once you stop taking them? Will the weight be regained back since you would be off the drug?

Actually, milk has more sodium than a lot of soft drinks, at least the soft drinks that I looked at the lables. Cold turkey was the easiest way that I shook the soft drink habit.

Thanks so far for the tips. The one thing that was pointed out that I've been slipping back to is the fast foods vs. making more meals at home. I'll work on it this weekend to start getting back into the habit of premaking meals at home.

I've been running for exercise and have been trying to get some weight training in but haven't been too successful on getting the weights in yet... :ohwell:

I'm a male turning 44 later this month. I'm currently ~229lbs wanting to get to ~175lbs. and I'm 5'8" I do weigh EVERYTHING and use grams when possible; not sure if I'm just being anal but I feel that I can be a little more exact when I use grams vs. ounces....
