I am one of those people, and the only lift I find I struggle with is the back squat. Front squats, deadlifts, and bench are a lot easier for me to master than the back squat. Point taken though. Build matters. Oh, and to the OP: my max squat right now is 135 (highbar back). I can do 115 for 5 reps. I'm pretty out of…

No, I have been thinking of getting one that goes in the door frame. Do you have a recommendation for a particular brand or style for home use?

Check out this post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/824518-fat-girl-dead-lifting I started lifting when I was about 210 lbs. I'm 5'8". Being heavier has the advantage of making you fairly strong in many ways just because you're carrying around a lot more weight than someone 70 lbs lighter every day no matter what…

Someone recommended this to me last week, and I just started this workout this week. Sofar so good. I have 10, 20 and 30 lb dumbbells. I modified the program a bit though.

If you buy chicken with the skin on it then take it off yourself, you can save about 50% off buying the already deboned and skinned chicken cuts.

Another one that I really enjoy is this: Grilled Salmon with Capers Use heavy-duty aluminum foil. Spray aluminum foil with Pam Grilling spray lightly. Place salmon skin side down. Lightly baste with 2 tbsp melted butter (sweet cream butter works best) mixed with 1 tsp fresh lemon juice. Top with 1-2 tbsp capers. Seal…

You can do it without the molasses at all if you like. The molasses just gives a little richer flavor and darker coloring. It works well with just honey.

Oven Honey-Baked Salmon (1 serving is approximately 4-6 oz.) Preheat oven to 400 1 large salmon filet (skin attached) (thawed) Pam baking spray 1/4 cup honey 1 tbsp molasses 2 tsp salt Spray glass pan with Pam liberally until pan is thoroughly coated but not dripping. Lay salmon skin-side down. In small bowl, mix honey,…

I hadn't really thought about it until I saw this post, but I'd like to be at or near my second mini-goal weight of 164 at the end of the summer (say August 1), which would put me at the top of the healthy BMI category (about 25 lbs to lose in that time, which is ambitious but possible). My first mini-weight goal was to be…

I know you're looking for chicken recipes, but in the first page you mentioned being open to other sources of proteins. This is one of my favorite fish recipes: Oven Honey-Baked Salmon (1 serving is approximately 4-6 oz.) Preheat oven to 400 1 large salmon filet (skin attached) (thawed) Pam baking spray 1/4 cup honey 1…

Awesome! I'm 5'8" and near that weight, but still in the 14/16 range. Congrats on your success!

Congratulations! May I ask how tall you are?

MFP has been the only tool that ever worked for me, however, it is a tool, and you have to learn to use it to suit your goals and needs. I would agree that the estimated calorie burns from certain activities are off, sometimes by quite a bit. However, I still log it, and I make sure my daily intake is sufficiently high…

Editing photographs is definitely not a new process. This has been going on since the invention of photography: http://twistedsifter.com/2012/02/famously-doctored-photographs/ Nonetheless, I appreciate the message of the thread. Comparing one's self to a celebrity or holding our expectations up to that level is silly and…

Second the insulated lunch cooler suggestion. I have this one, and it's great for on-the-go food: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0068B6VR6/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i03?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also, I recommend getting an ice blanket like this: http://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-Blue-Ice-Flexible-Blanket/dp/B004286IL6/ref=pd_sim_sg_3…
