How can he make the promise "for better, or for worse" if he can't marry you at your worst?

Eh, I tend to go over when the family decides they wanna eat out that night. But, I typically try to make up for it over the next few days. I do like to eat in front of the tv too, but only do so if I can afford the calories. I have pop chips which are low calorie & satiating, as well as pringles.

Rubbing my success in my fat mother-in-law's face. She thinks it's sooo hard to stick o a diet & lose real weight, but I'm showing her just how easy it is. c; She's gonna be so jealous when I'm at my weight goal & her weight hasn't budged.

Most of the weight you lose initially is extra water weight. When it slows down, then you will start burning the fat and seeing inches disappear.

Daily, out of curiosity. I log a pound lost when I seem consistently at or below the next step down.

What about during the week when you were eating 1800 calories a day? Don't cheat yourself by making excuses. If you really want to lose weight, accept that you will simply need to lower your intake and watch what you eat...
-
If this was true then you would be meeting your current goal... Try to stick to what you've already set for yourself. Changing the limit won't fix the problem. You have to make better choices every day. Always log your workouts. You may not be burning as much as you think you are.

Cereal, vanilla milk, yogurt... Check the labels on these as they are likely sugary. Yesterday there are 6 tbsps of frosting. Saturday there are two big reese's cups & chocolate fudge cake. Just for starters...

Well for 5 out of the past 7 days, you went over 1500 calories. Two days you went over 2000 calories. How much are you exercising? How many cals do you burn during a workout? You have a lot of carbs & sugary foods. Try to cut back on these and eat more protein, which seems to be low often.

Maintenance for a woman your height would be around 1750. Are you weighing your food? Always weigh your food, don't estimate, and don't use measuring cups.
-
Never more than my maintenance of 1750, and only 1-2 times a month.
-
Best way to control it: don't buy it!!! Keep it out of your house! Only go shopping when you are full, so those cravings don't guide your choices.
-
I wouldn't track it so carefully. Take the stairs, walk the length of the ship a few times a day, swim in the pool, and hit the gym each day. Try to be concious about how much you eat. Limit sweets & stop when you feel full, and you will be fine! Remember that veggies, fish and chicken breast are low calorie options!
-
I found that interesting. I think dieting is good to lose the weight. Over time, your stomach will shrink and you become full with less food. At that point, yes, you could probably do okay with being an intuitive eater. But I also thik that most people find it hard to stay away from fattening/delicious unhealthy options…

Going over on sodium will retain extra water. Try to keep a lower sodium diet, and weigh your food, don't guesstimate.
-
Girl, the haters are flat out jealous. Just let them know that with some hard work they can look as good as you!
-
Thanks for the advice everyone, I appreciate it.

Hangry posters.

I would say definitely stay away from fried/fatty foods, small portions of sweets, and low carbs. Don't cut out the carbs completely. Stick to cereal instead of bagels for breakfast. For dinner, pick the healthiest option... Anything grilled/baked/boiled, veggies instead of bread or potatoes or rice or pasta sides. Broth…
-
You should quit smoking. It's equally detrimental to your health as weight gain. Regarding the depression... Try to make more time for yourself. Go out with friends & do things you know will lift your mood. When you feel like buying chocolate, save that money for a movie or a trip to the salon instead. Are you happier…

I'm doing pretty well with sticking to my diet and keeping under my calories, so here are mine: 1. No soda whatsoever. 2. No desserts, even if they're low calorie ~ the sugar isn't worth it. 3. Practice ballet at home during the week on the days you don't have class, or do some sort of muscle-building workout to improve…

What is T25? I keep seeing this around these boards...

I'm not religious, but I'm intrigued by Lent. I think I might try to give something up... maybe soda altogether, or bread! Bread would be a tough one to do, but perhaps rewarding. I'll have to think about my options~

I think I looked best in size 7 jeans. Size 6 is a bit too small, size 8 a bit too big. 7 was just the right amount of butt. I'm wearing a 10 right now. Werkin on it. c;

You can see real progress in those photos!!! You do look smaller. Congrats! I think a step on the scale will make you tear up when you see how much you've dropped!
