  • Thanks all!
  • I took my belly button ring out for both of my pregnancies, and put it back in after the babies were born. I do have a lot of stretch marks from both pregnancies, including one coming from the piercing. The new belly button ring I have sort of covers up the one at the piercing tho. The rest of the stretch marks I know are…
  • Thanks for the equation @erickirb. You have thrilled my mathematician heart!
  • I am 23 and very very happily married with 2 children. We had a whirlwind courtship, moving in together almost right away and getting married within a year of our first date. There were tons of people that supported us, and many others that thought we were moving too fast and that I should have a life first. But in the…
  • Congrats on the birth of a healthy baby! Congrats on the decision to breastfeed! Congrats on the weight you have lost so far! Have patience and perserverance and you will continue to lose the rest. But please, take it easy for a bit. Let your body recuperate a bit from child birth before you start working that butt off.…
  • lilRicki, I feel your pain, as I am also a "co-parent" with a no good crackhead who never pays support or does jack for his child. I understand why you think the system works better for mom's than dad's, but it doesn't always. I cannot get his visitational rights revoked, even though he admitted in court that he is still…
  • I've been doing Jillian Michael's kettlebell workout & LOVE it! I reached my goal weight in about 40 days & have really started to see some great muscle definition in my legs, core & arms. As my 3 yr old just said a few minutes ago, "Mommy, your thighs don't jiggle so much when you walk now." :D Gotta love the honesty of…
  • We rode the bus together every morning & night for almost 3 months before he really noticed me. But I knew from the first time that I saw him that we would be together one day. He was always either buried in a good book or talking about football with one of my friends, two of my favorite hobbies. The whole bus was involved…
  • oops, double post. :blushing:
  • Slow and steady wins the race. I know it can be discouraging at times when you were expecting big numbers and didn't get them. But a loss is still a loss. Congratulate yourself for losing some weight and sticking to your goals so well this week! It is a long journey at times, but the end results are so worth it! Stick to…
  • I have to eat Skittles, M&M's, Reece's Pieces, etc., in a color coordinated pattern. For instance, if I pour out a handful of M&M's with 2 reds, 2 blues and 1 yellow I will eat them as r, b, y, b, r. If someone comes along and takes and eats one once I have started them in order (my husband just loves to do this to me) I…
  • bump (It seems like there is a wealth of valuable information here, I definately want to spend some time reading the entire thread. If only I can get the children to sleep....)
  • Somebody? Anybody?? I promise to take constructive critcism without offense.
  • Hilarious! Several of these are going on my To-Do List.
  • I used to get a weekly massage when I was in school two years ago. Students could receive free massages from the massage therapy students. I loved it!!! I wish I could go back to school just for that. Even though it should have been a super stressful time in my life, (trying to balance being a new mom, going back to…
  • My husband and i actually argue about that constantly. I see no point, the children jump on it and mess it up, we're just going to mess it up again anyway, etc. So we have compromised, I remember most days to put the pillows back on the bed and throw the cover up over it, but don't really "make" the bed. And oops, you just…
  • Thank You!!!! This is such an important truth, & I am glad you are putting it out there. I struggled with eating disorders growing up, trying way too hard to attain the 'perfect figure' & have the 'ideal dancers body.' Some people can reach those measurements in a healthy way, but they are few and far between. Looking back…
  • I completely agree. My intention in starting this thread was to prove to myself & others that 'perfect' is all in the eyes of the beholder. My husband finds me perfect, not due to my 34A-28-35 figure, but for my personality & attitude towards life. There are so many truly gorgeous women on this site that may not have the…
  • I have always wanted to have a surgeon transfer all the excess from my thighs & waist to my boobs. I keep telling the hubby that all the money I have saved on formula by breastfeeding should go to the 'implant fund'
  • I have always loved how cup size is never included in those figures either. I mean, I really can't imagine a woman with a 36A being the object of every man's fantasy. The boob job comment is probably right.
  • Thanks for the advice! I have tried it out and love it! Even if I have gotten the chance to exercise that day, I find that getting up and doing jumping jacks or sit ups during the commercials keeps me from getting up to grab popcorn or sweets. So again, thanks a ton!
  • Fortunately, my baby can only have egg yolks (something about the whites being hypoallergenic for babies under 2), so I just cook the yolks for her and eat the whites. But if you don't have a small child, I can't really think of any recipes other than desserts and cream sauces that only use the yolk.
  • I add breastfeeding in under my food diary, as was suggested above. But I just wanted to stress for everyone that it is sooo important to make sure you account for those extra calories while breastfeeding. Two different things can happen if you don't get adequate nutrition while nursing: your milk can start to dry up,…
  • I joined after reading about MFP in Parents magazine. I think this is the best website out there and should definately get more recognition. Go MFP!
  • Ok, so I am really only slightly frustrated about this, but it has been 5 days and no vents, and I totally love this thread, so I had to add to it & get it going again, lol. The baby woke up the entire house as 5:30 a.m. and has been miserably needing a nap since 9 a.m., yet here I am and it is 4:30 p.m. and she STILL has…
  • My three year old wanted to know what was in the miso soup she was eating the other day, so my husband told her it was tofu, it is yummy and good for you. So a few days later I walk into her room where she and my 9 month old are playing, and I see the baby sucking on her toes. Immediately I go "Ew, Rachel, get your toes…
  • I recently went there and ordered from the Under 550 calorie menu. It was delicious, but the drawback is the sodium content. the meal may have only been 400 some calories, but was almost 2400 mgs of sodium, practically the entire days worth!
  • I just started yesterday, and promptly decided this would be an every other day workout. I am sooo sore, I can't imagine doing this daily unless you are in great shape, with pure muscle and hardly any body fat. I thought those jumping squat things would kill me!
