Hey... you have done the hardest thing about any come-back... you started it!!! And to take on the P90X which is a killer workout.. very ambitious. Might want to work up to it.. I am not sure how far "out-of-shape" you think you are but know that you must have the heart and can-do attitude to get it done.. don't worry so…

the fact that you had a treat and was still able to set some parameters (1/2 slice) for yourself rather than have a full-blown binge is something to congratulate yourself on AND the fact you looked to exercise to moderate your calories is something we all need to be conscience about Don't look at as a defeat but as a…

Definitely avoid those trigger foods... identify them and avoid at all cost... that is usually what causes me to "lose it" Another thing that I haven't been able to master is having the ability to slow the roll... it is bad enough to over indulge at times.. it is worse to say the &$(( with it and make it 10x as bad for…

also,,, do as much reading about running as possible. I have learned a lot from Runner's World and other websites. Good shoes and socks are essential. And.. .keep a diary/chart of your progress. It can be a motivation to you to see that data/evidence of your hard work

Your determination is inspiring. I have signed up for my first 5K and will be working up to the event that takes place in late April. I have been trying to increase time and distance like you. My advice is to get on a plan and try and stick with it. Too many people push too hard... which in turn increases the chance for…

kymlynn13, You and I have fallen into the same trap.. I recently went home to mamma's cookin' and got carried away. Once the sugars, carbohydrates, and fats hit my blood system it was over... Thank you for sharing how you started the week with a fresh week. I am motivated to follow in your footsteps and push myself during…

I think the best way of preventing the snacking urge is to plan for several smaller meals throughout the day. Try eating 6 to 7 times a day and still stay within calorie goal... lots of planning... but if it gets you past sacking and saving you all those extra calories...think about it
