Joined here this evening off the main forums. 2014 I lost over 100lbs, then came off here and let myself put it all back on over time with bad habits and bad company. Back now, and still got over 100lbs to lose to get to "ideal" weight; so far 12lb lost in the first three weeks.
-
I'm restarting - I lost over 100lbs then regained it all very quickly. Back on here now and 12lb into my journey, still with at least 100lbs to go!
-
Started at 286, aiming for 168. Bit of a long trek for me!

Not long turned 40, and back on here... Lost loads of weight in 2014, but then gained it all back with bad eating and relationships. I guess that makes me middle aged
-
Maybe?

Thank you both. :) I dealt with relationship problems by going places. Unfortunately they're a lot more expensive than a bag of confectionery, but a lot more enjoyable.

I've lost 100lbs in a year, and still have 13lbs to lose to get down to what I will be happy in myself with. I am still logging daily and will do for some time to come. :)
-
I've lost 100lbs so far having started at over 20 stone. Well done for coming on here, I'm logging daily and have a diary open to friends. The journey is just starting for you :)

I've put my faith in the calorie figure given to me by MFP and it's worked. I do admit that three days is a short time to monitor progress if you've changed your calorie levels... Have you tried putting everything at default (sedentary and whichever weight loss you want) and seeing what calorie level it offers you?
-
I've always stuck with the calorie count on here and left it at sedentary, and it's worked for me. Upping calories and changing activity level would give you a double boost of calories left. I've gone with the thought of booking absolutely everything on the app (I use Endomondo for exercise) and leaving my exercise level…

Good luck. There's loads of people who have the determination to succeed and who can motivate you along the way. I decided in myself to start back on MFP and I'm feeling the benefits for myself. Down to 236lbs from 283lbs since the start of this year. My target is 174lbs which will get me at exactly BMI 25.

34 and logging daily, feel free to add me. :)

Logging daily after a break imposed by my then girlfriend from logging - I'm back for good now and got a long run ahead. Friend requests welcome :)

I've also got the FT7 and find it's reliable, also works automatically with the gym equipment at my gym (The Gym Group). The only times it doesn't work is if I get too hot, and that's purely through it moving off my chest.
-
I'm also in the UK and logging daily. Feel free to add me. :)
-
Agreed. Good luck - you can do it :)
-
Well done for making the commitment to change yourself. :) I've lost 42lbs since January (my start weight when I came back on MFP was higher than when I first signed up on here)... so it *can* be done.

I can only agree with the comments from everyone else in this thread. I came back on here at the start of the year, set my height and weight as it was and set it to "lose 2lb a week". It came back with 1690 calories. With the support of friends I have added on here, and by adding everything I eat and drink - I no longer…

25.

Very awesome. Looks great. And in answer to your question - far from it!

Recently came back on here, been actively losing weight since the start of this year but stopped logging at the request of my (then, not sure if still is) girlfriend, but am now back and actively logging - feel free to add me if you wish. :)

Crawley, West Sussex. Got another 5 stone to lose, have already lost 2+ stone. :)

Did my first 5K on Saturday at a Parkrun event (http://www.parkrun.org.uk/tilgate/) managed to jog the first couple of km's but a steep uphill stalled me. Well done to the OP - the feeling of finishing one is pretty good. :)

QFT and ta for clarification on my post. When I first went into GNC before Christmas last year the manageress said to me... (possibly not word perfect but the gist of it is there) "If I sell you something you will probably only come back in two weeks and I will have failed you. You could take anything in here but there is…

You might find it worth talking to the staff in the stores. I spoke to the manageress in the GNC store where I live (same mother company as H&B) and she recommended not going with tablets, but with post workout protein drinks... although everyone is different. Any company should recommend what is good for you, rather than…

Nope, unfortunately not, it's 3:15AM and I'm working night shift (12 hours). Roll on 7am.

Is it bad that I read that and thought of... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9W9VdKt1WI

Got over 100lbs to lose, and I'm on here daily.

Crawley (also known as Gatwick Airport south bit!). Welcome to add me if you like...

I've just done over 2.5 miles on a crosstrainer in 30 minutes... so based on that a half marathon would take just over 2 and a half hours... doable but bring a well stocked MP3 player. :D
