  • i find that i get hungrier and have a harder time saying no to sweet and salty things.
  • this is what i was gong to say. it is a little more work but worth it. i try to do this myself. the sandwiches and snacks you buy in the store have way more calories than stuff you make at home.
  • my family have fructose malabsorption syndrome. so we have had to cut it out of our diet. i do a lot of label reading. it is everywhere. i cant eliminate all of it but our exposure is minimal. we also restrict fructose from fruits and veggies, and fructans in other things.
  • do you have or are you an expert in fructose malabsorption? it only takes 2 bites of a banana for me and i get severe diarrhea and vomiting for an hour. i can not eat apples either. one bite makes me bloat up like i am 6 mo pregnant. i can eat sucrose. the glucose helps the fructose get digested. so technically we should…
  • it is always nice to have more friends!
  • i used to have chronic debilitating migraines. chiropractic care helped me a lot. i still get them but they are real mild. no sound or sight issues. just irritability.
  • when i was nursing several times a day i logged in 500 calories for breastfeeding. now that am only nursing at naptime and bedtime i am unsure how low to set the calories and am thinking about not logging them at all. it does feel a little like cheating. but your body does actually need those calories.
  • it lowers my blood sugar as well. if i drink it black. if i have a cup of almond milk in it, then it doesnt do it so much. i try to make sure and have protein and a carb for breakfast. otherwise my blood sugar tanks and i get dizzy etc. i am hypoglycemic. not the real bad kind, but the pre type 2 diabetes kind. i also get…
  • i was diagnosed with ibs and gerd ten years ago. 3 years ago i quit drinking milk. eliminated half my problem. found out i was fructose intolerant. if i stick to the diet, i have no bloating and very little problems with constipation or diarrhea. you could have some kind of food intolerance. using your diet log will help…
  • i log everything. but i am also disabled and wouldnt get up to do any housework if i wasnt logging it. if i did 4 hours of walking around a store, i would log it as 3 hours of walking. i also log everything i eat.
  • you want to add 500 calories for nursing. also, you shouldnt worry about the weight until baby is at least 6 mo old. that is to make sure your supply is stable. at the very least, i would wait until baby is 3 mo. make sure you are drinking plenty of water. you need water to make milk. there are some foods that reduce milk…
  • i would agree with both the answers you have already gotten. i eat back the 500 calories. i dont always eat back all the exercise calories. i can tell when my supply seems to drop and make sure i eat more after that.
  • i would. i log everything.
  • you count whatever you want. i personally like to log it as wrestling or light stretching depending on how vigorous it was. i log everything. if i am not sitting on my butt, then i log it. i dont care if it is dish washing, sweeping the floor, etc. i also log everything i eat. loging everything has helped me to really see…
  • that makes me hopeful. i love my breasts and 4 pregnancies made them go from a c to a dd. after losing 25 lbs they are back to a d. they look nice in a bra and look good with my new size but they are saggy. i was hoping that working my pecs would help with that.
  • it takes awhile for the body to come back together after having a baby. overall body exercise is good. core exercises are good but you have to let your abdominals heal. sometimes they separate during pregnancy.
  • there is no difference. i just have to say, dont worry about losing weight until after the ties are clipped and your supply is up. him being able to eat right and your supply going up will off set what you eat. let your supply get regulated and then worry about diet. i dont lost weight until baby is older. i understand how…
  • it sounds like you got great advice already! oatmeal helps supply. lots of water. i set up everything as sedentary and then i add breastfeeding as an exercise. it adds 500 to your allowed calories. i also eat back all exercise calories. i am losing. and it feels great. my baby is 14 mo. if i notice a decrease in supply, i…
  • yes i am speaking from personal experience. that is why i said me and i. :) i have fructose intolerance and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth caused by the fructose intolerance. i had to take a test in a doctors office. my children also have it. i had to learn exactly how much fructose, sucrose, glucose, fructan, and…
  • you need to remember that people here arent real doctors... sugar goes straight to my hips. i lose more when i keep my sugar low. lost the most when i cut it all together. sugar is not the same carbs as potatoes or rice.
  • with all the great advice, i would like to add this: your baby is only a baby once. i understand the need to get your body back. i feel it too. i have to constantly remind myself that i am a new person now. a different person. i will never be the same person i was before. i am better now in so many ways. each child has…
  • the y i go to would ask you to leave if you have cuss words or sexual profanity on your shirts. it is in their membership agreement that you sign. it is a family place. i have never gotten any flack for not being christian there. their belief is that they are the ones doing the christian thing by making sure that everyone…
  • i know that for me, meat is essential. i have fructose intolerance. my safest foods are meat, potatoes, spinach, and mushrooms. meat is the only food with no fructose in it. if i want to be healthy and have all my vitamins and minerals, i need to eat meat. i had been a vegetarian before. i felt bad for the animals. so for…
  • def add way more water. i am nursing my third. he is year. i nursed the other 2 until they were 2 yrs old. my weight never started coming off until they were 7 or 8 mo. i drink a ton of fluids. also, i eat a lot of granola bars. oatmeal helps with production.
  • i was just coming to post this topic. i am finally down below my pre pregnancy weight but i still have a big flab of fat on my belly. which i did not have at this weight before. i thought i would look like i did before at this same weight. i guess i have more to come off. i hate the belly fat. bleh.
  • i think that you look great. you have a big confident grin on your face. nothing makes insecure people feel like being mean more than someone who is confident about themselves. they are trying to make themselves feel better by making you feel bad. you have nothing to feel bad about.
  • sorry, i meant table sugar is half fructose half glucose. i needed to know all this bc i am fructose intolerant.
  • i do this but i am working on cutting it out. i am addicted to sugar. the more i eat, the more i crave.
  • different sugars are processed differently by your body. table sugar is made out of fructose and sucrose bound together. fruit sugar is mostly fructose with stone fruits being sorbitol. fruit also has glucose. glucose goes straight to energy. but the body has to put the fructose through the liver just like alcohol.…
