  • Hi Folks, Sorry to butt in here but I read the bit about 'Starvation mode' if you go under your BMR. Starvation mode is a bit of a myth. Yes metabolism will slow down but your body will not hold onto fat. Think about it, someone on a hunger strike does not still look like a whale after a month? Please do not think I'm…
  • Are you eating enough during the day? Need more info but it looks as though you could be close to your base rate of calories for the day without the run? If you are almost running 3 miles in consecutive day at the end of the day you may be running on empty (that may be why the morning run isn't an issue?) You could try…
  • Try this. Forget distances and running time. Find a flat road, put 4/5 songs on your ipod and run till they stop then try and run back before they stop. In two weeks add a song then another and so on and on. If you exhaust your iTunes playlist move to Kenya and apply for the Olympics! Have fun Russ

You could use, for example, a playground climbing frame (although try and use it when no kids are about or they may think you a little strange) or a…
  • Hi Guys, HudaSaman is right. It will take a lot of natural sugar like sugar in milk and fruit for your body to start to store it as fat. Natural sugars are a key source of your daily energy. It's added sugar that's the problem. The calorie counter on myfitness doesn't differentiate between the two. Added sugar has little…

  • Ok, looking at your posts you're a little frantic. Firstly, there's a difference between fat loss and weight loss. Your focus should be on loosing fat. After all is said and done your body's fat store comes down to calorie input vs calorie output. To lose fat you need to use (burn) more calories than you consume. To lose…
