During the day, I stay out of the kitchen and find something to do that will occupy my mind ...even go somewhere; for a walk or to the Mall. If it is night, I go right to bed with a book, looking forward to my breakfast in the morning.

I eat a snack called Cranberry Bliss that I buy at BJ's. I think it is very filling, but kind of high in calories. It is craisins, yogurt covered raisins, almonds, peanuts, raisins and cashews. It depends on how much you weigh now, but on average, two pounds a week is a good goal.

I always feel good when I have done Jillian's "No more trouble zones". It was part of my exercise program when I was loosing weight and will be again when the pool closes after Labor Day to help me maintain.

I am also 5'2" and started at 162 lbs last October. In April I reached my goal of 120 and have since lost 6 more pounds though I am trying to maintain. I stuck with 1200 calories and walked every day (4 miles an hour) for 40 minutes and did Jillian Michaels' No more trouble zones" 3 times a week. That is what did it for me!

Just keep at it!.... It may take longer than you hoped, but one day you will get on the scale and say "hey! I did it!" Then for sure you will see it and so will everybody else!

Any ideas for keeping track of laps when you are swimming? I don't run but I often loose track when I am swimming...

I agree with what everybody else says. You are trying to loose about the same as what I lost. It took me seven months and I never lost more than two pounds in a week, and sometimes even one or less. It took me 7 months to loose 42 pounds. I'm 5'2" and went from 162 to 120 lbs in that time. That was eating 1200 calories a day and not eating back my exercise calories. I did a brisk walk for 40 minutes every day and did an exercise DVD every other day if possible.

You could put your scale away somewhere where you can't see it (a closet maybe) and take it out only once a week to weigh. ....Same time every week!

I've always thought that going over on protein didn't matter, and also fiber ....I would be interested in input on that as well. Bump!
