  • Not sure how to add! Feel free to add me :)
  • Thanks, will do! :)
  • U.K. Here too and just rejoined! Feel free to add me :)
  • I'm 5'2, 28 years old. I'm in the UK so not sure how the sizes differ. I'm a UK size 12 and currently 141lbs. I have a pair of jeans that are UK size 10 that I could fit into easily last year that won't go over my thighs right now! So they are the motivation. I'm aiming to get to 126lbs. First goal is 133lbs for me.
  • Hi. I'm from Cheshire. Feel free to add me!p
  • I find this thread really judgmental. What business is it of yours how many children people have?! My parent have 6 kids, they both work, have never relied on the government for anything, and are more than able to look after us financially. When my brothers were younger my dad worked and mum stayed at home. And why?…
  • Hi! I finished 30DS halfway through May, and am currently going back through it. I'm doing 3 days a week though and 6 days overall on each level instead of 10. But this time round I'm using weights for the cardio as in Level 3, and using heavier weights (8lb instead of 5) for the rest of it. I'm starting Level 2 next week…
  • Amazing!!! What an inspirational story! You looked stunning in your wedding pictures! Well done on your incredible journey!
  • Today I did Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. Didn't want to! I usually do my workouts in the morning but couldn't today, so ended up doing it at 3pm and it's quite hot here today so I just felt sick all the way through! I kept telling myself, one more circuit and you are allowed to turn it off, something is…
  • That's what I mean, I think I am losing it too fast. I have now set it to 1700 per day so less than the moderately active 1783 but a little higher than lightly active and not eating back exercise calories. I can't really involve a professional as I don't have cash to spare on that at the minute (my company told me a week…
  • Thank you for answering :) It confuses me too. If I started changing to moderately active then I would not eat back my exercise calories, so would this mean that I'm not double counting them? I still enter the exercise on MFP so I can keep track, but just enter it as 1 calorie? Many times I've lost weight on 1200cals, even…
  • bump. sorry. I really want to get this right!
  • My dog is brill and just lies on her bed with her Kong or sleeping while I work out. The cat however, she sits on the arm of the chair and gives me the look of death. Then when I start doing anything that involves jumping, she jumps down and starts circling my legs! She has a death wish!
  • Definitely. I take my German Shepherd out for between 1.5hrs and 2hrs a day. She's 5 in July. It was more before her legs became poorly. She has hip and elbow dysplasia and arthritis now so can't do more than that. She used to get 3+hours and still does on occasion if we go to the beach or whatever. She's solid muscle, her…
  • I finished L3D5 today! Tomorrow was supposed to be my rest day but just remembered I have to work late Monday, so not sure whether to do another day tomorrow, and have Monday as a rest! My arm is a tiny bit better, but those planks in circuit 3 where you do a plank with weights, and lift up your arm, then leg etc, I'm…
  • I've just done Level 3 Day 1. I had a little trouble with my left arm which I haven't noticed before, so although I could do most of the stuff (Anita helped :P) my arm let me down a bit! Like Mel, I did feel this was the best Day 1 though! Mel, I also think I'm going to be a little sore tomorrow, as in Level 1 style, but I…
  • How much exercise does your dog get? My German Shepherd has bad legs (hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia and arthritis) but still gets around 2 hours a day to keep her body and mind healthy. As for food, I'm not sure if this is just in the UK, but Orijen is pretty good kibble. Or you could always feed raw? I don't feed raw…
  • Week # 1 -- April 29th -- Goal 600 minutes: Mon: 90 mins walking 20 mins 30DS Tue: 160 mins walking 20 mins 30DS Wed: 150 mins walking 20 mins 30DS Thur: 169 mins walking 20 mins 30DS Fri: Sat: Sun: Total / min left: 649/0 Oops, need to increase my goal for next week!
  • Yay, glad to hear that you prefer level 3, I'm hoping I'm the same as I'm hating level 2! Though saying that, I do feel I am getting stronger. I managed to do most of Level 2 plank stuff following Natalie today, I felt like I was going to pass out afterwards, but I did it :D Although I didn't get all the way down on those…
  • I'm in :) Week # 1 -- April 29th -- Goal 600 minutes: Mon: 90 mins walking 20 mins 30DS Tue: 160 mins walking 20 mins 30DS Wed: 150 mins walking 20 mins 30DS Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun: Total / min left: 460/140
  • Me too!! I did L2D6 today! Circuit 3 is awful with all the plank stuff and the V raises! And just when you think you think you've done it, those bloomin ab plank crossover things! It's great though isn't it how much better you feel about things you were previously hating. I too hated the jumping jacks but now I'm glad of…
  • Thanks. I always use runkeeper to monitor walking calories, but just halve what it gives me. With 30 Day Shred I use circuit training general and just whatever MFP tells me. I figure between halving for the walking and using MFP for 30DS it probably works out. I think sticking to sedentary then and adding calorie will…
  • Could anyone give some advice on what they think my activity level is, or whether or not I'm better off setting my activity at sedentary and eating back my exercise cals? 4 days a week I walk my nans collie around 3 miles. 6 days a week (including the 4 I walk my nans dog), I walk my own dog 3-4miles a day. Each day I'm…
  • L2D3 today! I managed to make it all the way through the last set of abs workout, the plank with crossover or whatever it is! Albeit, very slowly!! My goal is to be able to do them all the way through at a reasonable pace by the end of day 10. Also did the squats with arm raises all the way through, but that was hard and…
  • I've just done Level 2 day 1! Those plank moves :-/!! But as travlinmel said, I do feel this Day 1 was much better than how I felt on Level 1 Day 1. I'm hoping I get to the point I did in Level 1, where around Day 7 I could really put a lot more into the squats/lunges etc and started using 3kg weights instead of the…
  • Just to add, could it possibly be my shoes causing the problem? I didn't have any proper trainers at first (I thought I did when I planned on starting) so I'm wearing some kind of shoes that aren't meant for sports I don't think. Could this be giving me less support and therefore more pressure on my calves?
  • Just finished day 6. I started on Sunday 14th but needed to take a rest day on Thursday as my achilles tendon and calves were really sore. They were fine after the rest day, but yesterday doing the jump rope and butt kicks made it flare up again, even though I stretched for 3 times the cooldown and did some other calf…
  • You look fantastic!
  • I'm really considering getting a fit bit. I walk my dog between 3-7 miles a day depending on which dog I walk. I also do 30DS. Would the fitbit be accurate when doing something like the 30 day shred where its a combo of cardio/strength/abs?? At the minute I use the runkeeper app to calculate my calories during walking and…
  • Its definitely below the bigger bit of my calf muscle, really hope its not bad. Will one rest day be enough? I don't really want to do more but I also don't want a big injury. What is a foam roller? I've not heard of them. It feels a little better today.
