  • I am from the suburbs of Philly, just near Fort Washington...awesome to see so many from PA on here! Go Phillies! lol Happy 4th also!
  • I actually meant my BMR lol sorry! And I am 28, but I will gladly take 25!
  • No I totally get what you mean and I should do a better job of logging. When I slack here I slack all around and it very well could be the reason for my plateau before I stepped everything up. Don't feel bad for being harsh, I need to hear it!
  • Will do thanks so much for all of your help!
  • No I generally only do the body combat 6 days a week. The workouts vary in times from 30 mins to 60. Three of the days are HIIT workouts that are about 30 minutes and those are the days that I do my weights. I dropped the run from those days because my legs were wasted so my week looks like this: Monday: Combat and run…
  • Thank you so much, I usually try to stay around 1500, I think my tdee is 1550. I was hoping the gains were from DOMS and the weight training and that I didn't do too much damage in this short period of time. I will make sure to take my rest day this weekend and scale down on the extra cardio. I am at the end of the combat…
  • Mine seemed to underestimate a lot of my workouts but overestimate a run so I got a heart rate monitor for my workouts. I just record the activity on my fitbit and then adjust the difference. Any HIIT workout or strength training is usually very low on the fitbit. At least on mine. I wanted to get the most accurate numbers…
  • I just set it to public so hopefully it works.
  • I will set it to public but I can't say I have been totally consistent with logging, if I had a bad day, I just skipped logging. I do own a food scale and use it to measure some foods but not all of them. I started body combat April 8th, I added the weight training on the May 22nd along with the running. I have done weight…
  • It was pretty much a plateau and I was stuck around 168. I am 5'9 and today the scale said 172 which is up four pounds since Tuesday maybe. I am looking to get to around 145, I was at 138 before but that was too hard to manage and I ended up sliding backwards hard so I think 145 would be ideal with muscle from strength…
  • Also, this past weekend I added some extra cardio and skipped my Sunday rest day to double up on workouts as well. I had the energy so I just kept going! :o\
  • Wow that was fast! Ok, so the program I have been following is the body combat workout and everything was fine but I was stuck at the same weight despite seeing changes in my body for the better. I was able to go on that for awhile but I think it got to me and I had a few graduation parties, etc and my eating habits just…
  • I wasn't quite on the wagon but I totally fell of during Hurricane Sandy as well! I don't know what happened but the minute I was able to leave my house after like four days stuck inside, I went crazy! Plus we had all this extra Halloween candy sitting around since no one could trick or treat. I just started to get back on…
  • I have been drinking it for over a year and I am still hooked on my same recipe with the Chocolate. I recently signed up to be a coach because my mom got hooked on it and how great she felt after drinking a sample a friend gave me. I was dragging my heels on the coaching aspect but I wanted get her the best discount since…
  • As a fellow Flyers fan I gotta say "Ooooh no you didn't!!!!" lol But on topic, I went up two pounds after yesterday being up another two and I have been eating well since a bad Memorial day/Tuesday after. I have an ankle issue so I have been taking aspirin and other pain meds to help the inflammation and I find that I see…
  • I teach three year olds and if they could run all day they would! I have had the same thoughts as you and really want to clip my fitbit to one of them someday and see what they burn! Haha! Since I am generally active with them aside from outside free play time, I burn so many calories on a work day!
  • I really like ON Double Rich Chocolate so I recommend that for sure but I just recently tried About Time protein powder (you can buy samples at their site) and it was 0 carbs and 0 fat! Really really good and very simple ingredients. I was in need of powder and they don't really sell it close to me so I went back to ON but…
  • I wore a bodybugg for about a year and got the fitbit about a month ago to give my arm a break! For a few days I wore them both to see the difference it was very minimal. I have switched to just the fitbit at this point. However, doing anything that isn't moving your legs registers a lot smaller burn. Actually one day when…
  • I have had a few days like this and a week like this as well. Today I was so proud of myself as it was a little boy's birthday in my class and he brought great cupcakes. It was also a little girl's birthday in the other room and her chocolate chip cookies were brought into my room as well. I had a cupcake and one cookie,…
  • I have found that I tend to get bingey if I workout too much. I would set a goal to burn 1000 calories and hit that a few days in a row and then bam, I would pig out. I ate really crappy about two weeks ago and since then I have kept my exercise to around an hour, and upped my calories as well. I just feel a lot more in…
  • I did the spike diet awhile ago and read his book. You aren't supposed to go under 1200 calories on your low days. You are just meant to create the deficit with exercise if your low numbers take you under that. So maybe if you try it again, do 1200 on your low days and 1300-1400 on your high days?
  • Cute! My mom said no Easter baskets this year because she knows what chocolate does to me and my brother is not a fan of candy. However, there were Easter baskets all over downstairs yesterday lol. I think she may do something different then just candy so I am curious to head down and see whats up. She had said we were too…
  • I had two friends who stopped drinking in social situations- one because the medication she was on would give her mega headaches if she drank too much (so you could try something like that if you feel like lying?) and the other because she would just get too drunk and would lose things/break her phone/pretty much just lose…
  • I just got my monthly visitor today and since I took myself off the pill I wasn't sure when it was coming. I made it through this past week with no cravings for the usual stuff at all and I am wondering if it is because I was doing the Inferno plan from Turbo Fire and it has you eating so many fruits and veggies. It was a…
  • This is perfect timing as I just really messed up my knee and I need to find some cardio that will not aggravate it more. I have been doing Turbo Fire for over a year and I will miss the good workout I get from it if I have to take a long rest period! I overused my knee last week because I am on spring break so I made good…
  • Not sure why no one has said it but I noticed that you have at least one alcoholic beverage a day. If you really want to lose weight, it is probably best to cut that down or at least pick a lighter beer! You are losing 100-200 calories in alcohol alone. That could be good foods right there!
  • I just did this last week as well. I don't know what my deal was but I just wanted crap food all week and tons of it. I am doing a challenge with my friend where we don't weigh in til the end of the month so I don't know what I gained. However I could feel WHERE I gained when I worked out. Luckily I am off for two weeks of…
  • I don't know if this link will work but this commercial really gives you no excuses! lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mr4QYYWg5n8&list=FLByoXEvyBw4JBkmZOQRW3Yw&feature=mh_lolz
  • I was doing the spike diet and was having great results. Then I took a trip (girls weekend) and blew the work and really made my cravings for not so good foods super high again. I tried to get back on track by just cutting calories lower and then Valentine's day happened and I went overboard again probably due to low…
  • I had one of the lean cuisines the other night, it was really good but I was concerned about the sodium. Totally woke up extremely puffy the next day so I looked at my logs and found that was wayyyy more sodium then I consume in a meal. So water weight could really come into play with those meals I would assume.
