The hospital I worked at only hired people on PRN and yet made them work full time hours a lot of the times without giving them health insurance, I guess they thought a free flu shot would keep people at work and that was their form of health insurance...in the time it took from walking from the health nurses office to my…

I couldn't believe the way I felt after being practically forced to get the flu shot, as soon as I came back to my office I felt immediately sick...I got a sore throat and runny nose, that night I had nausea, chills, and a fever, I felt like utter crap and I never get sick. I researched about the flu shot that night and…

I agree with DaddyM1 all the way....I worked in a hospital last year that the flu shot was made optional but people looked at you like you had 3 heads if you didn't get it...you had to wear a sticker on your badge saying you didn't get it and you had to wear a mask if you came within 4 feet of patients, therefore you were…

I gotta get a bike, we have an awesome trail here that is 6 miles long...and it's so much fun!

Water! It curbs a lot of snacking if I'm constantly sipping, love to add some cucumber or citrus! Eat less, move more...staying busy keeps me less focused on food, that's why I hate to be bored!

I've had the dvd for about 3 years now, anytime I want fast results I pick it up...I've never done the full 30 days though, seeing this thread has inspired me to finish it through, think I will get started tomorrow!

Thanks for sharing, that sounds really good! I had tortellini a couple days ago, and this is a nice change from just using alfredo!

Love the challenge Ellen! Thanks for sharing your recipes Stacy, can't wait to check them out...if anybody has some nice veggie recipes please post them, I'm always wanting to try something new! My weigh in today is 154....seems like I'm stuck in that realm but I'm not getting discouraged, I love the challenge Ellen…

10 miles is awesome, you did great!! I totally understand about the mid-day downers you are talking about...this time change has thrown me off somewhat, I haven't been sleeping good at night and am really tired during the day. I've been trying to up my time on the elliptical though so hopefully I can boost up my energy and…

Olivia, that is awesome!!! It's such a motivator when people take notice, especially those that see you frequently, you are doing an awesome job! Well, we have a German shepherd here....and let me tell you, she is WORK!!! I have to vacuum frequently because she sheds like CRAZY, take her out in the cold, rain, or any…

I'm so happy for you Olivia! I know you've been battling getting into the 150's for awhile now, woohoo!!! I thought I'd never get there, I swear my body wanted to live at 162 for months...now it wants to live at 153, lol..nothing is ever good enough! My goal weight is 150 and I'm dying to get there. Sandbug, like you, this…

Weighing in at 153 today....I've not been that active here lately and I'm sorry, life has been hectic, but I will catch up!!!

My weight has been jumpy this past week...I'm sure it's due to me taking a week off and just enjoying fall break with 3 kids...I had two on top of my one here last week...we went everywhere and did everything...and ate everything! So today I am logging me at 154 and hope to be back down to 152 by next week, hoping I just…

Thanks Olivia :) It's been stress city here but this next week should be much more smooth sailing :)

Hey all...I have been M.I.A. this past week....we had 3 kids here all week here on fall break and we've been going and going...plus I've been working, so I decided to take a week off....I'm late on the weigh in but still holding at 152....hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to getting back on track with you guys!
-
Sorry I'm just now reporting my weight! I'm down to 152! I was out of town visiting family, been hectic the past few days here..
-
Helen, it sounds like you have a great plan now that you've started work...I had to adjust to that two months ago since starting work again, and like you said it is extremely difficult to balance it all. I have work, a 3 almost 4 year old, and college full time, and home things to do...I don't get as much exercise in as…

lol...I love that song too, love Trace! Yeah, it's hard to know how to react to the attention, I feel like I'm still in my former body most of the time, all I could do was smile and cheese, lol

I'm so happy to read that you all are kicking major butt this week! I took a flu shot yesterday and have been sick as a dog..wish I never would have got it now. Ugh!! Today was kinda awesome though....had some NSVs...my boss looked at me this morning and told me I've been losing weight since I first started there 2 months…

Thanks for the responses! It seems the moment I turned 30 the sagginess became pronounced, lol but not lol....

188 views and no one else has anything to say about sagginess or some good recommendations for some cream? lol

Thanks Rose, quiche is something I do enjoy but believe it or not I've never made them myself, looks easy and gave me some great ideas! Man, I love this challenge, lol Today I did get a burn in with the elliptical, I haven't worked my way up yet, it's tough starting out...but me and my son did get outside and we did some…

Thanks for the beef barely recipe Angela, I have been aiming to try it, now that I have my new laptop I can save all these recipes, all the ones you've given me before are on my old broken one :( You should post the veggie lasagna you made last week and the chicken salad you make!
-
Lovin the soup recipes! That's funny, that's what I was going to post! I will definitely do that, it's my very fav! Taco Soup: this recipe will make a nice big ole pot ~1 lb. lean ground beef ~3 cans low sodium chicken broth ~diced tomatoes-- I use a couple of cans of Rotel with diced chiles but you can use whatever like…

I'd just like a good cream of some sort...definitely not ready for face lifts if ever! I need to start a good skincare regimen at this age anyways, but nothing too expensive...I've been looking online at stuff but it's hard to know whats good. My mom has the same problem, I'd have to say it's genetics!
-
Aww, thanks cuz, I know I should be happy! It's definitely there but it's not too noticeable really except when I turn my head a certain way or raise my arms up, weird....I will just have to realize that a little sag is nothing compared to how much better I feel :) You look great in your new profile pic, I'm just so dang…
