Using an interval timer and doing a combination of run/walk will help increase your speed the fastest. When I was training for a marathon, I only had 6 months. I started my training at a pace of 12.5 minute miles. 13 months later, I'm at a little over 7.5 minute miles now. I can run without stopping now, but the run/walk…

If you're trying to gain, you should calculate your caloric needs (here is a great little calculator https://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/calories-to-gain-weight ). Then add more fat and calorie dense foods in to your diet. Carbs will actually help you with your goal, just eat more. I'd supplement with shakes (2 scoops!)…

Yes!! I love recommending this lifestyle to my overweight friends and explaining they don't need to be hungry living on celery and lettuce to lose weight. They say "that can't be healthy" or "it's only working for you because you exercise so much". So frustrating. I know exactly where you're coming from. I had already lost…

Since fat calories are more dense, it could help you with calories and percentages to eat some fatty protein meal (bacon?). When my protein grams are almost equal to my fat, I fall out of ketosis. I'm a distance…

I see this thread is older...but I am training for my first ultra. Keto for 23 days now and I can safely run 13 miles at my normal race pace. I do notice I feel "heavier' than I did with a high carb diet and I drink more water because I feel dry faster, but other than that, I think keto is definitely safe for endurance…
