  • You should totally do the race. I'm not that fast either (10 min miles as of now) I don't even call them races really. I'm just like "hey i'm doing a 5k" or whatever. The only person I worry about racing is myself. And don'tbe concerned with the other people, they will just be worrying about themselves too. You will…
  • I get up at 4 to go to the gym when it opens at 5 on the weekdays. I need the 45 min to actually wake up and drink some coffee before I go. I do go to bed really early though.
  • week 2 181.2 Week 3 180.2 Down 1 pound.
  • I got some pretty cheap from Target a couple of years ago but noticed they were on sale the other week.
  • I have a 5k set for March. I'm sure I'll be doing more than that though.
  • mine was from my dad. I have a lot of cousins and in the summer we would all go to my Grandmother's house on a lake. We were all out there swimming and my dad came up to me (i was like 10) and whispered in my ear, "you're the fattest one here" and swam away. Thanks A-hat! Funny though because the other day I went to the DR…
  • I'm probably going to get flamed but whatever. I think your mom is perpetuating her body image issues on you. You seem to put a lot of emphasis on what she says, even though it's clearly not healthy. I have never heard of a mom NOT being concerned that her NINETEEN year old daughter has lost her friggen period. Losing your…
  • Your story is truly inspiring. This is going to sound cheezy, but I really feel so proud of someone when I see that they were able to do this on their own. It has a lot to do with how I grew up. You should look in that mirror everyday and just tell yourself how truly awesome you are, because YOU ARE! Thank you so much for…
  • I'm a Bill girl too! LOVE the show! I can't wait for it to come back on. On a related note I read the whole series in a week (with having baby around!) and my eyes were burning from the strain but I. COULDN'T. STOP.
  • I used to work at Sally's a LOOOONNNNGGG time ago. But they sell 100% cocoa butter sticks. You could totally switch to those.
  • I would run. I usually do races w/o music. It's so fun and energizing to hear people cheering. The time goes by really fast too.
  • Just had to add that I have a secret crush on Anthony Bourdain, although I wouldn't eat half the stuff he does.
  • DANG. Those are some serious results! I know you have got to feel so much better. This helps to remind us that the scale is not the only number that matters! GREAT JOB!!!!
  • You are so right about not puking or pissing myself,...THAT probably would have crippled me with embarrassment!
  • I've been dying my hair since I was 13,..so about 15 years now. I'm a SAHM and can't really afford to pay someone a ton of money for something I can do at home. Even they don't always rinse it well. Red dye just lingers for such a long time. I should have known better and wore black!
  • Medium. My DH is 5"10ish and 190. He actually lost 10 pounds just by taking his lunch to work, and trust me they aren't that healthy of lunches. I wish I had his genes! He can also build muscle pretty quickly too.
  • Was there bright and early at 5 am. Did a warm up of 10 min on the elliptical, then 2 miles of intervals (speeds up to 6.5, then slowed it down to 5.5 and inclined to a 3) 30 min on the stairmaster, then 25 min on the cross trainer.
  • I think dropping the "due dates" is good. You are still chasing your goals, just without a time frame. I, personally, think this is better. So many people start and think they will lose 10 pounds a month and realistically, that doesn't happen often. Not having a time table means not setting yourself up for disappointment…
  • exactly what I was thinking,....
  • I didn't go to the gym today,...but since the weather was so nice I did go on a 4 mile run with my special valentine-my 14 month old son ♥♥
  • What an accomplishment! Great going girl, you killed two birds with one stone!
  • I had a great week. Burned over 5000 calories (per my HRM) and didn't eat over my goal (except for one day and it was only 300 over) but my scale didn't budge. Hopefully next week the scale will be nicer. weight lost-0
  • I would say go to a running shoe store and have them show you some shoes that would work. Everybody's foot is different, as is the way they run/jog. My feet are wide and I have normal pronation . I was running in asics but just got a pair of pretty sweet saucony's.
  • Took the words right outta my mouth! 100% agree!
  • TOWEL(S) and plenty of water. I look like I have showered after I get out of a spin class! Make sure to relax your shoulders and have good form. Use those thighs and legs. I took a class last week after not going for awhile and my neck/shoulders were sore from me not having good form. :embarassed:
  • erikazj-Thank you so much for that awesome link!!
  • I'm usually an 80's girl (Depeche Mode anyone?!?) but started downloading some hip hop/rap stuff. Right now I've been running to: ODB-Got your money (the more I listen to this the more I LOVE it!) Lil' John- Snap your fingers, Get low Outkast-Hey Ya Kanye- Gold Digger, Stronger M.I.A- Paper Planes, XXXO Salt N Peppa- Push…
  • I'd probably go for the fat burn. You are still getting cardio, per say but you will get some different variables in there. I use my HRM and when I do the "fat burn" option (at least on the stair master" it seems to keep my heart rate in the ideal zone. But then again I also run to push my heart out of the zone to…
  • egh. my husband keeps asking but it's kinda hard to do anything romantic with a 14 month old. It stinks because his birthday is the day after. I told him we can go to the mall and he can get a cookie for his birthday. Sounds silly but this man loves him some cookies.
  • I never had fertility issues, but have heard that weight definitely is a factor. So when I got married, I wanted to give myself and my future child the best chance possible. I lost 70 pounds and got to my goal weight and found out I was pregnant. I did gain the weight back in my pregnancy, but I think getting fit before…
