Is this group still active? I'll a returnee and when I started I was recording every morsel! Not now but l want to get back to it as I don't want to backslide having lost a good deal of kgs, which is what usually happens. I have had MS for c40 years, still RRMS officially but in actuality SPMS. Tried Rebif which was…

I'm interested too though I've been doing well on Tysabri over the last 6 years. (Have had MS over 30 years). My foot drop has recently got quite a bit worse. I've also put back about 8 of the 20kg I had lost with the help of MFP. So depressing, struggling with getting back on the downward track.

Very useful information, thank you. I've been diagnosed with low sodium levels but yet to discover why.

I'm in the same boat, gained 6kg after losing 19. Stupid, but I want to have your attitude and say what the hell, you did it before, you CAN start again, in spite of MS, which I've had for about 34 years. I only log my weight when there is a loss, it's too depressing to log a gain! So according to my graph I've been…

Not sure what happened then, sent it before I'd finished! Also not sure what "index" meant. Clear mistake. I'm still having a bad time but must try harder. But it is SO hard. I'm having a large dose of top-up steroids next week which I hope will buck me up without the usual weight addition and an even more steroid-moon…

I've just had a good week socially but a bad week diet ly! But I have logged on again today with good intentions. I must stick to it. Husband away for a week so I can eat exactly what I should with no excuses possible. Keeping constructively busy always helps, and I will spend some time using my index

Thank you both for taking the trouble to reply. I thought I'd already done both things you suggest. Everything I was searching for suddenly seemed tho be in cups and ounces etc. I suppose I just didn't go far enough down the lists.

I've just come across your question when I did a search to find any information about exactly the same thing. Did you get any helpful suggestions? I too have low blood pressure which hasn't been a problem in the past but now I'm getting episodes of feeling faint or actually fainting. My blood tests have shown low sodium.…

I've had a long relapse, put back 5kg, and today I'm determined to start again. I remembered your photos, and hunted back through old posts, found them. So inspirational! Thank you!

Just found this on my re-start day after putting 5kg back. So, ditto to the above, just for today...

I'm trying to get re-motivated! I had lost 20kg when various things sabotaged me and I've put back 5+ kg. How stupid. I've had MS for over 30years, have 2 children, and have tried just about every treatment going as they were invented, starting with steroids. I'm now on Tysabri, which has been excellent, and the first…

Agree, very motivating.

Fantastic achievement, and very inspirational. One question - did your skin shrink too? I worry about having residual big folds of skin. Better that than the fat, but...

Love those cartoons, made me smile. I need to get back on track after 3+ [MS related] weeks in hospital, and this thread is a good place to start again with the weight loss plan. [London]

Congratulations on achieving your first goal. I've had MS for over 30 years with many ups and downs. But, since starting on Tysabri everything has been much more stable. I've been losing weight slowly, deliberately, but also have been slacking for the last month, in the face of too many birthday meals, theatre outings,…

I like the target on finger idea, and will try it.

Hi there. I've been on Tysabri for 4 years, and try to keep the known side effects -PML etc- at the very back of my mind and concentrate on losing the weight that has crept up over many years. Results are painfully slow as I find it very hard to do any meaningful exercise, but mfp really helps, provided I log on! I began at…
