OP, I assume you're being intentionally cheesy, so I'd recommend heart shaped box of chocolates, balloons, carnations... On another note, I'd strongly recommend putting that $80 towards something great like a night at a local hotel or a spa treatment. But hey, maybe you both really loved this SNL sketch and you want to get…

I like to blend a sliced frozen banana (add ice if you didn't freeze ahead of time), 2 tbsp. peanut butter and 1 c spinach with 1 c almond milk

I use the same HRM to swim a few times a week. It works perfectly for laps and aquacise. Have fun!

In my opinion, there's isn't anything wrong with the tact... unless you're explaining that she has to run in order to avoid being overweight or fat or whatever! Emphasizing fitness is the key. Maybe you can get her to do this long enough to become habit or more enjoyable. Maybe not. Maybe you provide her the incentive to…

Personally, I wouldn't comment on what I view as a poor food choice. There are people who eat better than me and people who eat worse, but food quality is a personal opinion. If my friend has indicated dissatisfaction with her food choices, I might offer some advice or encouragement, but ultimately, it's calories in vs…

I eat 5-6 small meals per day because I feel better when I eat something every 2-3 hours, but that's just me. As others have mentioned, the timing of your meals has no impact on your body's ability to process the calories - not even if you eat at bedtime :)

I like #4! You look great!

Just in case you need more ideas ;) Try getting a pal who also needs weekend help (took a peek at your diary). Maybe you can hold each other accountable, not necessarily for your food choices, but consistent logging on the weekends.

If calories aren't so much a concern, but REAL food is, Chipotle might not be a bad idea http://www.chipotle.com/en-us/fwi/fwi.aspx

I use the Polar FT for swimming and as far as I know, the calorie burn is accurate. I also use it to stay in my target heart range while exercising. I use the Fitbit One daily to track steps and sleep. I like the Fitbit for determining exercise calories because it deducts your base calorie burn from the "extra" calories…

I disagree with the poster who suggested that weighing food creates bad habits.. It's exactly the opposite. Weighing your food will create a depth of knowledge for you regarding real portion sizes, which become second nature. Some people may even have to weigh food for the rest of their lives, but isn't that worth the…

I'll add to the cheers! Great job out of you!!

It's good that you have an "obligatory" sexy bathroom pic, since that's where you plan to lose your weight

That is GREAT! I've never been to a Y that wasn't exactly those things. I joined mine recently and love it. Especially the swimming. Take advantage of that free childcare and get yourself moving!
