Most definitely trying these! I use a sugar free (stevia sweetened) protein powder so cals could be even lower! Thanks for sharing!

RUDE on her part for saying that! I hope you get healthier, more fit and are happier than she is...sounds like she is the kind of person who has to put down others to make herself feel better. Good luck!

What a difference! Congrats and you have a lovely familiy

If you have a gym at work, I would utilize that! We have one too and I use it during my lunch hour a lot. Works out really well, because I am tired in the late afternoon when I get home and I have two busy teens. Hungry ones too.

What sort of exercises do you do to help your back? I have back issues also?
-
Agreed...I am 5'9 and have had two children...I would look like Olive Oyl at a size 0. I'm with you and would be happy at a 10 after battling at a 14/16 for the past couple years. I want to know my diet and exercise are making me healthy. The teenage size 5 is not realistic at my age. So I'm with you!

Thanks for the honesty...I kind of figured. I will stick to more tradtional, "safer" options. The last thing I want is to be back where I was last year.

That is great! Just be careful to wean off slowly or you will feel sick. Your body is used to the chemicals...I was able to slowly wean myself off Lexapro and now only take a mild all natural capsule just to help shut my mind off at night and sleep. :)

Yep...that is me too...cheetos, chips, fritos...can't stop! Especially if there is dip too...

That is an excellent point. In this country, it is way too affordable to eat crappy, processed, high fat, high sugar foods. It is harder to eat whole fruits and veggies, and other real food. It's a real shame...

Hi, I'm Annmarie and am 44. Trying to get back to a healthy weight and I need motivation too, since dropping weight is much harder than it was in my 20s and 30s! Want to drop about 35-40 pounds. Feel free to add me as a friend! And good luck!

Jay Robb vanilla protein shake with frozen or fresh fruit...berries, bananas, or peaches. Sometimes with greens too. Also, coffee with a bit of creamer.

Welcome! I just joined to day also and could also use lots of support, so feel free to add me as a friend. Congrats on the upcoming wedding! :)

I live in Atlanta, but am from Willoughby OH, a northeastern Cleveland suburb. The love of my life still lives in the Cleveland area and I fly there often. I am new to MFP and am looking for any support in my weight loss journey. I am a 44 year old single mom of two awesome teenage girls. Good luck to all of my OH peeps!!

I can relate to an injury and being unable to do much exercise. I am new here also, so I'll encourage you if you will do the same for me! :) I'm Annmarie

I just joined to day and I can relate!! I am 44 (just this past Friday!) and love food, wine, chocolate and everything in between. LOL...I am trying to get healthy and lose about 40 pounds. I have a herniated disk in my lower back and activity has been limited over the past year, but I'm feeling better now. I am a single…

I am!! I am much older than you...LOL. But I too am a single mom and it's hard to find time to exercise and eat the right stuff, especially when you work fulltime. I'm Annmarie :)

Wow! Good for you! Good luck and I will be cheering you on as I hope we will all do for each other!

Tue 04/30/13 01:54 PM Hi, I'm Annmarie from Atlanta, GA. I am 44 and have tried many things over the years and some have even worked! But support from others is so important, so that is why I joined MFP to have people with me going through the same trials.
