Thank you all so much! I am so glad I can finally inspire someone on here.... in the many years I have been on here, I have never been on this side of it. But i am so glad I can help those of you that need it out. My diet is pretty much on point... I still have some treats... however, we go 4 days a week and during those…

Found it... nevermind.. haha. I had my start weight from 2011 listed
-
Chicken wings... game over for me
-
In for accountability friends
-
I'm hoping to not have to go on meds... im word like that.
-
Don't drink or smoke... but i recently started drinking diet soda again... like 4 or so a day... and had not been drinking water at all. I had quit for 2 years
-
Mine is stress related as well. Which exercise will help with huge... it has just went up recently since i started this other add on to my job. It ends in may... my dr report said prehypertensive... that scared me and pissed me off...
-
I think the implementation of 5 days of running or exercise along with diet check will naturally bring those numbers down...
-
I dont wear the strap all day... haha. I have once i think to see what my bmr was in accordance with the formulas. It was pretty much spot on. I do like the versatility of the polar as it serves as my daily watch as well.
-
Actually my major vice is chicken wings
-
I use a polar ft7 add my daily watch. It was also with me during my insanity days and spartan training days.

Anyone have a good routine that would suit what i am doing? One that is easy to follow and keep up with progress etc?
-
I don't have a bike. Amd work is about 4 miles from my home. Plus i have to take my daughter to school each morning
-
Also, we have an eliptical in home as well as insanity, etc. Would i see weight loss if i were to add weight lifting to a 4 day cardio routine? I'm messing around with about a 750 a day deficit in planning. See what you think about this... Sunday- 45 min weights before church.... elliptical in evening or a neighborhood…
-
Valid on the meal prep... my wife does this a great deal... one thing... how do you keep the chicken from getting that slimmy texture come wed or thursday? It grosses her out, thus she doesnt do much chicken... which is my fav.
-
Ding ding... we have a winner... plus I have to eat lunch and monitor the cafeteria at the same time.
-
Thanks all... i just dont want to be another statistic of working out hard for a week or 2 and burning out, etc... then ending up worse than i am now... i enjoy working out immensely... its just getting there. Im hoping by end of may to be back down to 225 of 230 where i like to be... im 260 now.
-
Fortunate for me, i can be at my gym in 5 mins... my school is 5 mins away as well.. so travel and commute wouldnt be a concern. I obviously have weekends to hit the gym and do cardio... if i do choose to go during the week, how many days should i focus on hitting? Sundays can be a bit busy sometimes with church, etc.

Thanks for the advice catt
-
I don't skip lunch.. just do not and cannot take an extended lunch like other poster mentioned
-
I'm an asst principal now... thus long lunch breaks are not an option. Im wondering how i would manage waking up at 5 and working it... im wondering if i would be exhausted by the time i goto baseball practice and by 6 when i get home
-
4 mile run here
-
Great to know. I know i lose weight much easier with SS cardio... makes me feel better that I'm not losing a ton of muscle in there
-
Azdak, Sijomial... thanks for the info. I am not distressed during the workout... taxed, yes... but not distressed. I was referring to muscle loss and heart rate because it is my understanding that certain types of cardio target muscle stores more than others...
-
+1. Water is a huge part of the deal.... it saves a bunch of calories for me. In fact, I think I read that over 80% of the time that we think we are hungry, we are actually thirsty due to chronic dehydration.... Go figure
-
Cheaper generally isnt as accurate... if you are not worried about having older technology, i highly recommend a polar ft7 watch. It has a chest strap as is arguably one of the most accurate methods to track. You can find them on ebay and amazon very reasonable... ive had mine 6 years and it works great
-
So on MFP, the estimation of calories by them isnt based on exercise? I guess i wonder how accurate it is? I'm sure they tend to be lower than others, right?
-
I don't log exercise on mfp... i have just used a generic tdee calc and i set it to mod active since i feel i do exercise 5-7 times a week. I dont care a bit to under estimate... just dont want to over estimate... it wont break my heart to lose 3 pounds a week for a bit until i get out of this obese category

Going the other way was in reference to the thought that drinking diet soda and the artificial sweeteners makes you crave more high sugar, other foods... sorry for confusion
