Thanks guys. :) I am close to my original goal weight and feel awesome but I think I am going to lower the goal a bit. It was just overwhelming before. Now it seems doable. :)

Thanks everyone. I lost a lb finally. But point taken on a week not being long enough to panic. It was just the first time since my start that it stalled. I will remind myself to be patient and of the classic line, it didn't go on overnight it won't come off overnight. I am also switching up my plan. My boyfriend made me a…

Thanks :) I know, I see here that a lot of people experience this but then I read the odd story of someone being stuck for like months and months and I get terrified and discouraged.

I definitely want an HRM to accurately calculate my burns but I definitely didn't realize a food scale was only $10. I am kind of intimidated about how to use it for every single ingredient to accurately count calories. Especially since a large part of my diet is giant pots of veggie soup/stew, so that'd be tricky. As far…

Also, I dont have a food scale yet. There are just so many things I need for health and fitness. an HRM, a blender/food processor, small weights, running shoes, dumbbells, the list goes on so...yeah. haha
-
Thanks guys and I will definitely take more care to measure them dry next time. I just put the bag in my crock pot. But I will assume the super high estimate was for uncooked....:P

Thanks guys! I need to maybe just put away the scale for awhile. It drives me nuts sometimes. I have been weighing every day. I am going to start doing once a week and just make sure to log my foods and work out. :)

I just noticed I was like photo dyslexic, but clearly the one on the left is the after. haha

Thanks! I have my BMI but what is TDEE? I don't feel hungry at all and am eating tons of protein. I make lentil/quinoa/chickpea stews and stuff like that. And generally have quite a few servings. I also have nuts for snacks. Thanks for giving me something to compare my intake too. I guess it just feels like a lot because I…

he asked my goal weight. 135 is my goal. I am 164 now
-
5"6 26 135 I bike 30-40 miles every day and do at least 40 sit ups usually and some light weights, mainly I just do a **** ton of the biking as I said. I burn 700-1000 calories a day in the biking

Yeah, unfortunately I added it to the pot each time. But I just deducted 20% :) Thanks guys. haha next time perhaps I will just add the water to the bowl and then heat it on the stove to get a more accurate number.
-
maybe deduct 20% from the amount?

Thanks so much! came here for some inspiration and you sure gave it to me. I only need to drop about 35lbs and after seeing your pictures it seems very achievable. So many awesome success stories here.
-
I guess that should be pretty obvious eh? Like, I can tell when I am legit hungry. I am going to go ahead and knock out 2 more miles (7 total today!) And then have some of the 15 bean soup with quinoa that has been cooking all day.
-
Okay! No problem for me, I am actually getting hungry after that burn (i wasn't earlier) I just wanted to make sure. It seems I am eating SO MUCH but I guess that is what happens when you start burning a lot of calories. :) Thanks guys.

*reads as swallowing last sip of super dieter's tea* Uh-oh....
-
that DOES make me feel better. :D Also, I never had any back fat my entire life, I was slim and lean until about 1 year ago really, darned beer! haha.
-
I've actually been vegan for 8 yearsish but I WILL get some "chicken" or "beef" on top. haha :) air quotes ^_^
-
Oh okay, well I am eating better, losing weight, and doing my cardio so patience I guess. thanks for the replies.
-
Thanks guys, I am mortified. It's easy to ignore back fat, I don't often check out my backside in the nude. I did find a super quick little back targeted workout by jillian michaels, I may just add that into my daily stuff for a month to see if it zaps it. But yeah, hearing that your back area went away first is awesome, a…

You are similar to me, I am 5"6 and started here at 164, so close, you look about the same in the before which is inspiring when seeing the after. :)

Wow. Awesome to see I am not alone in getting silly and excited over my small steps. I feel like this site will be very helpful in my weight loss journey. Love having folks like you guys who get it. Also, the Olsen twin thing is hilarious. I need to do some sort of visual thing haha. I was thinking of getting a symbolic…

Nice way to look at it, I'll keep being happy about it then. I mean hell 4 more lbs and it's 8 total! :O :)
-
Haha! thank you! I feel so silly being so happy but to be fair it is the first 4lbs I have lost in a LONG time. Usually, it was "Oh, I gained 5lbs, ah well, still not too horrible, it's just 5 lbs...." followed by sad binging. I think the cutting out of alcohol is going to be the biggest result for me. I also need to find…

Wowee, that is AMAZING. You look so beautiful. :D I have been full of excuses for the past 2 years. (I can't ride a bike I'm already too out f shape etc) and mfp has really slapped me in the face with inspirational stories like yours. Great job! :)
-
Thanks! Some mixed buts are a great idea, huh? Yeah I have concluded that I need AT LEAST 300 more calories. I just need to not be lazy and workout, I mean just 5 minutes of jumping jacks burns 51 calories, I got no excuses.
-
OH PROTEIN, sorry, read that wrong. I always get enough, I use tofu, nuts, lentils, beans, etc. Just have to make sure to pay attention to those things.
-
I definitely normally got WAY more than enough haha. with pastas, and breads, and all that jazz it isnt hard to meet a normal level. I do a lot of lentils and beans. (I was gong way over based on the beer, 6 of those suckers can be 1000 calories alone)

I wasnt completely sure it was bad, I am no doctor, I had a hunch hence asking advice? Not sure what the problem is, I didn't think I was rude and admitted not being sure if it was good/bad. I have listened to the informative responses and will chane my plan accordingly. That is WHY I asked for the advice, so I could…
