Just reduce your overall body fat, and back fat will go :) I noticed on me, it was one of the first to go!

There aren't any exercises to target any kind of fat. Eat at a deficit and do some sort of strength training for fat loss and it'll get better in time.

Also, a bra that fits properly makes a world of difference. That sports bra you're wearing is worse than useless.

Whenever I do an arm exercise (which are way more common), I exaggerate it so that "feel" it in my back too.

I was a V similar shape when I started, and as someone else said the back fat was one of the first to go (then I put weight back on again!)

My back fat moves one way when I move another... well I feel it jiggle...(just a little humor)
  • Thanks guys, I am mortified. It's easy to ignore back fat, I don't often check out my backside in the nude. I did find a super quick little back targeted workout by jillian michaels, I may just add that into my daily stuff for a month to see if it zaps it.

But yeah, hearing that your back area went away first is awesome, a lot of internet things were saying it is SUPER HARD to get rid of so I got panicky.

You can't spot reduce, whether you have fat around the middle or on the back. You just have to lose the fat the same as always. Eat at a moderate deficit, do some strength training to retain lean mass, and do cardio if you wish to add to the deficit...but no exercise will target reduce any fat from anywhere on your body. You just have to make sure you are in a deficit and be patient.

The DVD will not zap it. All it will do is create a calorie burn. You will lose weight if you are at a deficit. As everyone has said - you cannot target where it comes from, The ease of getting rid of back fat will depend on your genetics.

    yup.

And I just now ( after 5 years of hard work, a couple pregnancies, etc) got rid of my back fat pudge that was bothering me... I could lose tad more but I am ok with it now.. theres no roll or anything. YAY for a smooth back. Once I started lifting is when my back fat melted off.

Hi! I agree with Everyone that all you can do is lose fat and wait patiently ;). But strength training is always a great idea. It will help you hold onto any muscle you have now while you lose the fat. Just to give you hope, my back started way fatter than yours. With like 3 fat rolls. And now it's the leanest part of me and has very little fat. ;) like pp said that will depend on your genetics where the fat comes off fastest. ;) Good luck!
  • that DOES make me feel better. :D Also, I never had any back fat my entire life, I was slim and lean until about 1 year ago really, darned beer! haha.
