I plan my day in the morning and log everything I anticipate eating. As I go through out the day I will make adjustments to quantity or if I make a meal change.

Thank you! I found a link for one in the US! http://www.amazon.com/Kitrics-Digital-Nutrition-Scale-Silver/dp/B000U67EI0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1422565220&sr=8-2&keywords=nutritional+scale

I quit smoking (and gained weight) and I've been losing ~1lb per week consistently for the last 9 weeks. It can be done!
-
Yeah, I don't eat back any exercise calories. Also, I'm not hungry. I have had to find creative ways to hit my caloric intake some days because I don't feel like eating. A mango smoothie with almond milk is my new best friend.
-
What is this magical scale?
-
I'm 5'6" with less weight to lose. I strength train and do cardio and I eat around 1400 calories per day. I have been losing ~1lb a week consistently for the last 9 weeks. It is very attainable.
-
This is me exactly! It was very difficult to deal with at first and now I just keep plugging along knowing there will be another dramatic loss .
-
Weigh your food and be honest about what you're consuming. Don't eat back all of your exercise calories and drink lots of water.
-
No there is no proven way to "keep" the fat that makes up breast tissue. Just like there is no way to spot reduce fat.
-
Sounds like you've got it sorted out! I want to start C25k but I'm to big of a pansy to run in the cold. Bring on spring!

I started seeing changes after 4 weeks. I did take measurements which helped significantly. Plus I can see things shifting and more definition in my muscles. I work out 6 days a week so it has helped me to see remarkable change.

I think it is promoting an unhealthy lifestyle. Let's face it we're all here to get healthy/fit, etc. This is contrary to what we're all trying to accomplish. You can love who you are without deciding it is okay to remain morbidly obese. We're all here striving to do better, be better.... I think we can all agree it is the…

I worked out through the flu and I honestly felt a little better after working out. I didn't go with a full workout, instead I did low impact for 20 minutes. I say if you're thinking about working out chances are you feel you're up to the task.

Check to see if your local library has it first. That way you can try it out.

I am losing slowly but kind of on purpose. I want this to be a sustainable lifestyle change so I'm only set to 1/2 lb per week. Plus I don't do well on major calorie deficits. Just think how this is better than the alternative, gaining weight. I'm pretty happy each week that the scale goes down.
-
I went through the exact same thing when I started. Just keep with it and the pounds will come off. It can be discouraging but stick with it! The weight will keep coming off. And hey, what's the alternative? Stopping and regaining? Nah that's not gonna happen!
-
I am experiencing that now. I know in time it will shrink and become more firm, I am really trying to be patient LOL
-
What will you do to change this outcome?

I had the same moment when I switched from cups to scale. Yes we all know the logic in the back of our minds but to see it in black and white really makes it hit home. I started using the scale when I started baking. What a huge difference! Congratulations on your new purchase!

I work out at home and I'm so glad I do. I used to go to they gym and found that the 30 minute time restrictions and lack of accessibility to equipment was frustrating. Plus I was never left alone to get my workout done, even when wearing headphones. I feel I have stuck to my routine and am feeling the benefits of the home…

You've tried a lot. Have you given any one of your options the time to work? 8 months and you've tried 12 different options to lose the weight. It sounds like you should go back to the drawing board and give each change time to see if it will work.

I have to find my own motivation each day at exercise time. I also have to find my own motivation at each meal to eat less/better. It comes from within. I think it is attention seeking.

I cook everything in cast iron so they are all my favorite!

Request a small fridge in your room to keep some food items. Use your coffee maker to make oatmeal in the morning and have some fruit with it. Those keep without refrigeration. For lunch hit the grocery stores and buy a salad with grilled chicken. For dinner stick with something easy from a restaurant like a garden burger…

This is where you have to dig deep inside of yourself and decide how badly you want this. Do you want to be sitting here a year from now wishing you'd gotten started a year ago?
-
I just picked up the book from the library and am starting it now. I am enjoying lifting weights.

Go to skinnytaste.com There are some great recipes there.

hahaha That's awesome!

I am pretty happy with the free games so far. I'm getting into shape and losing pounds. Now if the inches would come off that would be great!
