  • For whatever it is worth....Jillian looks or appears more "masculine" because of the way she carries herself. She also has a very strong jawline which also gives more of a masculine appearance. I think it has less to do with her body per se and more her persona and the vibe she gives off. Any women that calls other women…
  • Wow dude! We always see the female transforms on this site ...so nice to have a male on here. Ummm I am glad you posted a time frame of hard work and dedication and it wasn't overnight.....way to go ! Awesome determination. Best wishes on your fitness journey.....keep it up!
  • I read somewhere..." don't think just go" . If you give yourself time to think about it you will talk yourself out of it and figure you can always go later or tomorrow. I use this saying for my early morning running. I set out all my gear the night before. Socks watch ....etc. I have running friends that sleep in their…
  • There is a magazine called "Clean Eating" . Also look up Tosca Reno. That will answer your questions. Best Wishes on your Journey!
  • Awesome post. I really enjoyed reading all your goals. I liked that they are all realistic and attainable and something to be proud of. Plus having a goal makes you push and want to see the outcome! You rock! Best Wishes!
  • Yay!! My feet got narrower as well and also seemed to be a half size smaller? Weird....foot weight loss.... still puzzles me. : )
  • I add mushrooms and tomatoes to mine bake in oven...olive oil....salt/ pepper or Lawrys. You can use ground beef or turkey brown it ...add spaghetti sauce....and basil, oregano and garlic....fresh or dried is fine. Parm on top if desired. I omit noodles as I am on zucchini harvest as well. : ) My kiddos and hubby seem to…
  • Muscle recovery is important. I agree with the above poster as well. Some people look towards yoga and pilates when they are taking a break or just walk for that week. On vacation for a few days I may just walk and focus on yoga before I get jittery so to speak and need to go for a run. I have found my runs are better…
  • I am 5.3 1/2. Yep I count that 1/2. I weighed in today at 136.6 . I wear 6s but they are very loose. 4s are ok, I have several 4s but I feel like if I gain an ounce in the 4s it all shows. I prefer comfort and looser clothing, usually mediums on top. I have broad shoulders and larger upper arms in comparison to most women.…
  • I am having same issue. Mine was cut off after 1st pregnancy. Bought new band....had resized a few years ago. Now too loose. A good problem to have I suppose.....who would have guessed that I lost weight in my fingers. Toes too...seems like I have gown down half a shoe size as well. So strange.
  • Ohhh I love me a good roll call. Plus it is like reading Runners World... I feel weak when I see all the mileage people are putting in. Ran appx 35 miles. Walked at least 50. Not training for anything though right now except weight loss. When fall hits the mileage will be upped. I don't handle heat well.
  • How much water do you drink? Water helps people go. Its summer ....its warm you run....double your water. A warm beverage helps people go. Prunes..... I eat prunes a lot. Salt cant make you retain. How is your sodium. Hormones....TOM....etc. I find running can make me weigh more for a few days after a long hard run . Same…
  • Perhaps seeing an "alternative medicine doctor". (Not voodoo people)....like a wellness specialist. Sometimes they look for alternate ways to help you. It's just a suggestion. Sometimes these people can introduce you to yoga ..or .prayer....I have met some people who practice mindful eating based off their spiritual…

  • I set a goal to be a solid size 8....broke it and I currently wear a 6....possible I will go for a 4. I got a very short haircut to celebrate. One that I wanted for a long while but spent hiding behind my longer hair due to being overweight. : ) Also bought a few outfits that fit me well in styles I wanted. Best wishes on…
  • ^^^^^ This. .....I am not a lifetime member....I did lose 10 lbs with WW in a month....but bc I run distance as well ...WW was just too difficult and wasn't really set for endurance training or racing. This is so much better...and free....and you will find just as much if not more support on here. : ) Welcome.
  • This trail mix called " A little bit of everything". Ummm yeah a little bit turned into lots of bits of everything. Like the huge jar would disappear in a few days. Haven't bought it in 4 months but I do glance at it lovingly and for a long while when I walk past it in the grocery store. Like just for old time sake ya…
  • I love me an awesome success story on a Monday!!! You have improved your health so much. Amazing!
  • WTG!!! How inspiring. You look beautiful!
  • According to my vegan friend I am a Flexitarian....haven't even googled it so I am not sure what that all entails. But I started out by doing a meatless Monday for a few months for my family. It worked well ...now I do it several times a week. I don't actively seek out meat or meat products unless I am sensing my body…
  • For what it is worth I sweat 5 min into every class I go to. Remember ......the sweat is the fat crying when it leaves your body. : ) Plus I just plain sweat easily. I have learned to love the sweat....makes me feel like I am getting a great workout in. No one in their right mind is paying any attention to what you are…
  • Wow..... your stomach and back. Way to go!!! Keep it up. : )
  • You are one of the most inspiring stories I have ever read on here. You have amazing willpower and determination. I am a former smoker and current runner. Swimming is not my thing which keeps me from doing any tri's. However, You Are An Ironman!!! That is so cool! BTW I second and third that you do not even look remotely…
  • Not really knowing what a portion or a serving is. Not having a food scale. Not measuring. Thinking I was eating about 1500-2000 calories a day and it was probably closer to 3000 maybe more. Running ridiculous amounts of miles than "rewarding myself" . Duh me I now know it doesn't work like that (after 2 years of thinking…
