I also fear Sharknados
Sharknadoes are a legit fear.0 -
Let's see...storms (the really bad ones with a lot of thunder and lightning and wind), the dark, being in an elevator alone, the monster under the bed that's going to grab my leg if I hang my feet off the bed too long, spiders (not so much afraid of them as they really just creep me out), clowns (Dang Stephen King). I think that's all. I've made myself sound like enough of a 5 year old for one day.0

I'm afraid of the dark, mildly to very scared of spiders depending on size, and I can't sleep with my back facing the edge of the bed, nor can I sleep with my feet uncovered. Something's going to get me, I just know it.0
-
Cats.. They are sneaky little suckers. They will definitely stop me in my tracks.0
-
Bugs of any kind - unless they're ladybugs, caterpillars, or butterflies. I'm also afraid of being the last one to come up the stairs of a basement. I sprint up the stairs as fast as I can and shut the door so the basement monsters don't get out.0

:slow, serious nod:
At the bottom of the basement stairs we hung a poster from the 1999 Artichoke Festival in Castroville, CA. It's a drawing of Marilyn Monroe when she was Artichoke Queen or some such back when she was in her 20s. She's beautiful.
My children are terrified of her. "Her eyes follow you," they claim. When I hear one of them tearing up the basement stairs, I call out, "Did she getcha?" "Almost," they inevitably call back. At least I know it's not their fault; they inherited their fear of basement stairs from me. Not sure where they got their fear of Marilyn Monroe, though.0 -
what if she gets one?0

what if she gets one?
Let's hope it's the 14 year old and not the 12 year old.0 -
Mirrors in the dark creep me out. I have to keep night lights in the bathroom.0

Any extreme weather...high wind, heavy rain, lots of snow, but especially thunderstorms. I get a little anxious when there's lightening, but someone help me when there's thunder.0

no night lights, but mirrors in the dark, yup.0 -
Turning off the lights at the base of the stairs.. I still have to run up them.. lol0
-
Spiders, especially the furry ones....:sad:0

Ghost lol0

I don't like my closet door open at night. Yes, I realize Mike Wazowski won't pop out and try to make me laugh, but still.
Never know if the toothfairy is hanging around in there. She might still owe me money for some teeth, as a matter of fact.0 -
I love this post....and how many people have the same fears. : ) Certain basement stairs ummm... ya.... .....legit!0

Armadillos0

None. I used to freak out my mother because of it.0

Clowns scare the crap out of me!0

I'm creeped out by mirrors. Especially sleeping in front them..I cover the one in my bedroom with a blanket before bed each night. I'm terrified Bloody Mary is in there waiting to get me....0

Specifically, syringes, injections, blood drawing devices.
This is crazy because if I have an ingrown hair, I can unflinchingly dig it out with a 2" safety pin, no problemo. I have a large tattoo that I was excited to acquire. So the stabbing sensation of vibrating needle(s) when attached to a tattoo gun is easy peasy.
So it's not just as basic as "needles."
But if the needle is attached to a syringe so it can put something into me, or if it is going to be drawing out my blood, I want to die. Huge horror-filled panic is induced. Similarly, that evil sharp hook that the dentist uses to probe my gums (WHY!!?!?) is a tool of the debil.0 -

Mice, snakes & spiders (mostly when I walk into a web, eww!). I also couldn't sleep in our house when my husband removed the cover on the crawlspace. He made fun of me, but who knows what coulda came out of there to get me??0

once I had to crawl under our house when I was a teenager, to use a hairdryer to unfreeze our pipes. My dad had just had surgery and couldn't get down there. I could just FEEL the spiders and webs. I was so scared I just closed me eyes and pretended I was somewhere else. I will never forget that to this day! so awful. :sad:0 -
These:
And these...
Eugh... god, I hate those things. One crawled into my house once (the potato bug, not the crab), and I could hear it walking around on the tile from the next room.
EUGH..bfdbjdnkdsbgnjn0 -
Not sure if you would consider these 'childish' or not but I am afraid of heights more than anything and the dark, of course.0
-
The dark. I do not even sleep in the dark. Like literally sleep with a lamp on...0
