Lovely! Great job!

What did it for me was basically, the simple fact that diabetes, high blood pressure and chronic heart failure has plagued my family for generations, along with the fact that my mom died almost 4 1/2 yrs ago at the age of 58 from chronic heart failure due to complications of diabetes. I don't want to be a part of that…

Calories burned depend on your weight and intensity level as well as length of time you jumped. If you can fit it into your budget I would suggest purchasing an HRM so that it will calculate everything exact for you based on your on heart rate and vital stats.

Are you aiming for at least 100g per day?

I eat the fruits with less sugar in moderation, such as strawberries, blueberries, plums. Tomatoes and avocados are fruit, so of course you can eat those as well. Bananas are extremely high in sugar, so I don't eat them at all.

Thanks for sharing! I was planning on trying the portabella pizza. I saw a recipe on another site. So, you've peaked my interest for that for sure!

Bump! Thanks for sharing!

You've done an Outstanding job! I most certainly agree with the fact that different diets work for different people. I personally know that the low fat high carb diet doesn't work for me, nor do I purchase a lot of processed foods. I tend to cook all of my meals at home and rarely eat out because of all the sodium that…

I saw the movie FATHEAD and thought it was quite interesting. I also follow the lower carb way of living and it was approved by my doctor. I eat under 100g per day as well. I also alternate by having lower carbs on some days and higher ones on others, but I eat very healthy meals as well. I experimenting right now to see…

Thanks for sharing! I'll look into that!

I agree! The US recommends a minimum of 25g per day.

The netcarbs is basically after they've subtracted fiber and any sugar alcohols from the food. I'm not sure how accurate those numbers are on here since some people have inputted incorrect nutritional information for some foods. I use the regular carbs and subtract the fiber myself since it calculates fiber content in…

I plan ALL of my meals in advance and input them into my diary at night. If I want something and it exceeds my nutritional allotments, then this gives me the opportunity to come up with an alternate. I love it and it helps me to stay focused without any slip ups. It's also great to input your meals in advance if you plan…

Maybe I should just say - if it ain't broke, don't fix it? What are your thoughts on a forced plateau to get the body used to the loss and possibly let my skin adjust to the loss as well? Thoughts? [/quote] I'd go with "if it ain't broke don't fix it". It will come soon enough. Just relish in the fact that you are still…

I absolutely LOVE that analogy! Thanks for sharing! ~ smile

I'm glad you were able to go back in your diary to see exactly what transpired! You'll get it off in no time. That's why I've been experimenting with calorie shifting to keep me from plateauing! You've got this!

Yes I believe that the actress Hally Berry was born with Type 1 diabetes. They learn to live with it.

THanks for the info. This is the reason I limit my carb intake and try to avoid the processed foods, etc. I eat mostly green veggies and berries and apples along with the leaner meats. I also only use olive and coconut oil sparingly.

LOL! Janice you crack me up! I guess I would probably feel the same way about Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. Lol! I haven't tried it, but I have no desire to at this point just because everyone else is trying it. I have well over 100 dvds and ON DEMAND fitness on cable. As you can tell, i have a plethora of dvds and…

I'm with you on that one! Well said!

I don't get it, nor do I eat them. I'm losing at a steady pace without even looking at them. My Beachbody consultant advised me not to even worry about them. I do what works for me. It's all too confusing. As long as I know that I've burned some calories for the day, then that works for me!
-
I'm a witness to that and don't pay any attention to the scale either, because I've lost 14lbs and a lot more inches, which is what matters most to me anyway. Great job and keep it up!
