No I think you had the right idea! Calories in vs. calories out is the main factor in weight loss. If you save the calories and want a cupcake, then I don't see the harm in that.

I don't really understand why people say to only weigh once per week if you want to avoid weight fluctuations...what if the one day that you weigh yourself you happen to fluctuate up? I usually weigh myself 2-3x/week and take an average, but I usually find that my most valid weight is always the week after TOM

The info is great... but the calorie calculator for calories needed to lose weight are for losing 1-2 lbs per week... it doesn't account for people losing less ETA: The calculator does have a range if you see between maintenance and to lose weight options, keep below maintenance and in the range to lose

In my opinion.. a bagel is a bagel is a bagel, unless it's like a panera french toast bagel or something like that, pick which ever you like best, prob lower cal to go for cream cheese vs. pb, and log of course PS: I love bagels :flowerforyou: Where are they from?

This happened to me yesterday! I coworker left a cookie on my desk... I didn't want to offend her by loudly offering it to someone else so I just threw it away. Sure one cookie won't kill me, but I already had my day planned out and that woulda put me over. By the end of the day, I forgot about the cookie anyway.

"Giving up" just because you aren't motivated to work out seems to come from an "All or nothing" attitude..., it seems like you are thinking that if you don't want to participate in one aspect of being healthy, you might as well just not be healthy at all. Yep I eat cheese all the time... get a food scale and measure it, I usually pack it for lunch and measure ahead of time so I can't eat more than a serving!:laugh:
