Seeking for a little advise

Hello there mfp people :)

I've been struggling with my weight for a long ... long time. a few years ago i developed an ed and i am slowly re-learning to see food as a good thing instead of a bad thing. a long story short after alot of fighting with myself i ended up being 17 , 5"7 and 220 lbs .. i managed to lose weight on a HEALTHY way and now i am 18 still 5"7 and 189 lbs. But here's the tricky part i've been stuck for 4 months now and i am slightly freaking out.

I try to eat 6 times a day and eat between 1300 and 1800 calories a day ( i count calories mainly because when i joined mfp i discovered i wasn't eating enough i would be between 900-1300 a day)
i cycle on a stationary bike from 5 to 6 times a week for about an hour and burn about 1000 calories , and recently started yoga and 30ds again.

is it possible that my eating habits or lack there of are still getting in the way of me losing the last 30 lbs?

sorry for the long story but i hope i have given you enough information

thank you in advance

If you are losing on 900-1300 and not losing at 1300- 1800 calories a day, then why not try the 1200-1500 range. Also, make sure that you are meticulous with tracking your calories.

For clarification, are you eating 1300-1800 net? Or do you still exercise 1000 calories and end up with 300-800 net?

    after exercise i've got 300 - 800 net.

and i really dont want to get below 1300 because the last time i tried that i ended up not eating and over obsessing on food and it didn't result in any weightloss what so ever

Edit: forgot to mention this i haven't lost any inches either im tracking my lose with weight and measurements

So, I always point those in your mindset to read these two posts on MFP that really outline common ideas that the forums questions/answers are peppered with:

    Low Calorie Eating:
    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/3047-700-calories-a-day-and-not-losing

    Dubbed "Starvation Mode":
    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/777-why-is-starvation-mode-so-bad

They're really, really good posts and I highly encourage you to read through at least the low calorie eating scenario. You're REALLY undermining yourself eating below 1200 calories a day, and your activity level put you in an even higher bracket of food to eat. You see weight loss at first but then plummet in progress for very good reason. Also, you're damaging your organs over time, because if your body doesn't take its fuel from calories, it will take the fuel from muscle tissue (heart included).

So just consider what's above, and what 99% of experience on these forums try to reiterate to everyone.

The tailored goal that MFP sets for you needs to be your net calories: Food - Exercise.

i will read them both , thanks :) , i'm already eating more then i did in the past and im trying to up it a little but i never knew my net calories should be ( in my case) the recommended calories on mfp i guess i never really looked in to it.

And your tag says you join in October of last year. Not sure how long you tried option 1 before switching to your current calorie count.

Feel free to add. Me and most others just want you to succeed (promise)

You have to eat back your calories!!!
I mean its fine if you are only off a couple of calories from your daily goal but to not consume your exercise calories... VERY DANGEROUS :explode:

Also do you wear a HRM for your cycling? 1000 cals seems a bit high for an hour

Supercatie18 no i don't i can't really find any "cheap" ones here, and since i'm a student i don't really have a lot of money to spend.
i've tried calculating it with different calorie burning calculators( with height , weight etc) , and this is what 9 out of 10 say i burn ( even mfp) so i guess that it's more of an indication of what i'm burning.
i'm stil looking for one though ..if you know any stores in the Netherlands :P that would be great
