Thanks but I meant more about the UP itself... The MFP part is kind of old hat, this isn't my first tracker ;)

I made Roasted Beet & Potato Soup last night for the first time & my husband and I both loved it! It takes a while to make but is very simple, just lots of cooking time. The flavor was fabulous, my husband thought it tasted like something you'd get in a fancy restaurant! My only change to the recipe was that I used…

If you remain in this relationship, which sounds a lot like mine, I have some advice: Do what you want to do for yourself and consider it a bonus when your guy is willing to participate in some way. My husband is very much like yours and we have learned through the years exactly what we *need* from each other vs. what we…

Truly an inspiration because you're still so young and you really took your life into your own hands at such a critical age, I bet you'll keep fit for life because of this great transformation that you've made both mentally and physically. Congrats!!!

You look like a whole new man, congratulations!

I noticed that there were a lot of families even when I went about 10 years ago. You're right, it's not really a family destination but there are plenty of shows and places that are kid friendly also... not that the rest of us like it that way. Personally, I'd be afraid to bring kids there considering the hotel bars turn…

Amazing progression you've made, a huge inspiration to us all!

No such thing as too muscular... unless the guy is skinny and muscular and it looks odd, like John Basedow.

I recommend highly addictive game apps on your phone. I downloaded My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and it drastically cut back my snacking just because I was so engrossed in progressing in the game.

I've tried it, it's pretty good. Though, not all flavors are created equal.

Put out a new candy dish filled with unwrapped sugar-free chocolates. When they disappear into her room in the middle of the night, she'll end up in the bathroom for the foreseeable future and you'll have some peace & quiet.

I find that the later I eat dinner, the fewer snacks I want while enjoying TV time. I used to eat dinner by 6:30pm at the latest and now I find that eating closer to 7:30 or 8pm is a good way to keep those cravings away... and supplement lingering cravings with grapes, fat free froyo, or similar.

Cherries because someone on my FL mentioned them yesterday and I can't stop thinking about them!

If mushy is your only obstacle you're doing pretty well. I have a friend that eats nothing but pizza, chicken tenders and French fries. As you can imagine, he could use a healthy dose of MFP. No need to eat mushy veggies though, just prepare them to your liking instead of forcing yourself to eat something that turns you…

Sounds delicious! I first fell in love with lemon chicken soup at a Greek restaurant so I'll definitely be trying this recipe when the weather cools off. Thanks for sharing!

I'd recommend just good old fashioned portion control. You won't get nearly as much fried chicken as you would grilled chicken for the calories but if you have to eat those foods then controlling portions is your best bet. Well, that and collard greens.

Wow your hair grows super fast!

I should have been clear... men don't do gadgets that aren't sold at Home Depot or the car/fishing/sports section of Walmart.
-
Not a guy but I think I can offer you some insight... First, you're barking up the wrong tree. Most guys don't do gadgets and if they do, it's because a woman in their life bought it for them. 2nd, And I'm going to say this as delicately as possible as not to inadvertently break any rules... as the daughter of two gay men,…

Just looked up what a treadmill desk was and that's really a great idea for the home office (yay you!) but I can't imagine trying to concentrate on walking and billing or payroll at the same time!

The perfect boyfriend usually ends up being gay. Perfection is overrated. Go for the guy who doesn't need to call someone else to fix things around the house or on the car. He'll be useful long after he's worn out his welcome or gotten old.

Your family needs group therapy. You look amazing and your face is beautiful just the way it is!

I quit a year and a half ago using nicotine patches. They were just the thing that worked best for me, everyone is different. After quitting I developed allergies I never knew I had and became much more susceptible to sinus infections. I also gained 70 lbs because I did not pay close attention to the snacking... I…

You can do this! I don't know many people who work out half as hard as you work just for your home & family. I got your back! :flowerforyou:

It's true, I read that post and promptly exited the forums for fear of that sort of thing being contagious.

My top 3 worst first day encounters... Guy that expected me to pay for both of us because I suggested that we meet up ... didn't even suggest going "Dutch". That just screams ignorant and self-absorbed to me when it's coming from a guy. The several guys that have proclaimed they were falling in love with me after spending…
