  • Our starting weight is very close. I think you look great and you're very inspirational to me.
  • Thank you for this. You know I actually never considered whether someone would care in the sense that I matter to them. But I had hoped that someone would read it, maybe see that were similar in situations/struggles and add me. That's what I do with other people. I feel very encouraged from your comment. Thank you again.
  • I also want to add that I that my diary is not public. I'm not comfortable with it. I do log though and from another community members suggestion I don't mind writing how many calories I go over or under in my feed.
  • Hey, you can add me if you want. I'm 31, 5'6 and working to lose 100+ lbs

  • My name is Sarah. I'm 31 and have been on MFP on and off since 2013. Recently I've been looking at my history and can't believe how close I've come to getting out of the 300's. I now know that I can't do this with logging. I'm 5'6 as well.
  • Can you take those supplements while taking Metformin?
  • I'm glad to here that Metformin helped. I recently have been prescribed a much higher dose of Metformin and I'm bad at remembering to take them but I was also unsure if it really worked. I get paranoid with medications sometimes.
  • Your hard work really is paying off!
  • That's awesome! I can't wait for that day.
  • Not a huge NSV but I couldn't find slacks for work but they were all in the laundry. I finally found one but the were a size smaller than I know I am but I thought I'd try them any way. They fit comfortably. I'm excited. I've never worn them because someone bought them for me when I first started this job.
  • this
  • I did and it was definitely helping. However, I'm not good with remembering to take pills. I have a very hard time with medications so I eventually just stopped using the Ali pills because I was losing track of when I last took them. I would definitely like to try it again. I never had any bad side affects from it.
  • I love water! It just tastes good to me. My mom does not like water and swears that she gets sick every time she drinks a lot of it. It helps her to spread her water drinking out as much as possible throughout the day and add fruit juice like lemon or lime as well.
  • I agree with this. I think that if it gets people working out comfortably, then it's not stupid or harmful. In general people don't interest me so seing a bunch of "skinny" or fit people exercising doesn't motivate me. Seing someone I know used to be a fatty does. Even just seeing fat people exercise motivates me. But I'll…
  • In Resident Evil, both. In general Michelle.
  • Pay off some of my debt including the weight I gained back after I worked so hard to lose it.
  • I was told by my pharmasist that the reason it's so high is because when it's from the pharmacy it's synthetic which is harder for our bodies to absorb and we end up only absorbing part of it. It would probably be quicker to just over the counter kind. I was so low that my doctor had me take 5,000 IU's of over the counter…
  • My grandpa has never liked taking me out in public because of my weight. One time he had no choice and we ate at a restaurant. I asked what was in the fruit salad and she named off a few melons including cantelope which I'm allergic to. I said, "Oh no thank you. I'm allergic to cantelope." He said, "Too bad you're not…
  • And there are times when I'll a little more.
  • It doesn't matter when burning calories but it depending on your health, it can affect your blood sugar. I'm pre-diabetic and when I exercise before bed my blood sugar drops too low so that my body release more insulin than needed and when I wake up in the morning and check it, it runs high.
  • Actually a couple doctors wrote a book called Best Weight my friend/co-worker/nutritionist/diabetic educator gave it to me. She received it by going to a seminar that they spoke at. It's teaches other physicians how to approach and properly teach patients to lose weight without falling into unsupportive or false…
  • I don't see anything negative about it either. They remind of the people I work with and the community I live in. One of my friends/co-worker is super skinny. She has two kids, one of them just turned one and I think the other is three. Everyone hates on her because of this and when she wants to work out with a partner…
  • I don't think it's minimizing weight loss if the person were once thin. For those of us who were always fat, we have no idea what it's like to be fit once. It's a scary process because we are going into the unknown. It's what we want but at the same time it's something we've never been. Since I've been on MFP and reading…
  • I've always been the fattest kid in the group/class since probably pre-school. Not even just a little chubby but totally fat. Was that way because my family knew nothing of nutrition. But recently since I've been working at a clinic, I've learned a lot and my family and I are getting healthy.
  • I'm Native American. I get Hispanic, Filipino, and one time Korean. Only other Natives seem to be able to tell but Hispanic and Filipino often speak to me in their languages.
  • Yes there are many people who do live the way you mentioned but the reality is that there are people who live pay check to pay check and do waste money on video games and name brand stuff. If you really believe that it's their choice then you really don't know what you're talking about. It's easy to judge when you've never…
