Is measuring with a tape measure around each section of my body a good way as well? I'd been looking for a gym for a while, but can't find anything in my budget.

My mom convinced me to go to 700 cal/day for a few days. And I did lose like, 3 pounds, but it came right back on when I started eating normally again. Mothers can be way less helpful than they think they're being.

How do you measure % body fat? I've never looked into that

I did notice within the first month or so that I gained weight, but lost inches, so I'm trying to pay more attention to inches than pounds. It's still frustrating when the scale doesn't move, though.

Well, it's the same with tennis, isn't it? The more noise you make while hitting the ball, the better you are. At least that's what watching pro. tennis has taught me.

It helps to find a means of exercise that you actually enjoy. For me, running is fun when I have good music to listen to. Also, DDR is a great workout, and I always enjoyed it. Some people really like yoga. You just have to find the work-out that you like, so it keeps you WANTING to do it often enough :P Also, finding…

That's usually the first thing that I notice a decrease in when I take measurements. Kinda disappointing, since they weren't very big to begin with. Never been bigger than a 34B, and they're slowly shrinking.
