Never heard of shirataki noodles! Will check them out! Thank you!

Am I the only person in the world who actually likes the texture? I boiled some in chicken broth yesterday with some garlic and oregano, and had it with a Seabass fillett, and it tasted really good! I guess cause they're wuite tasteless, they take the taste of pretty much anything! As for the texture, I really like that…

Aah thank you for that! Yea that clears it up a bit! I won't have them too often, I guess I'll just reserve a pack or two for those days when I really feel the need to have some carb textured meals!
-
Do they count as processed food? The ingredient list is rather simple! I'm so confused!
-
Thank you guys! I am usually really against diet products too, but could there be hidden sugar in these products that they aren't labeling on the product? Because the amount of net carbs and sugar from carbs on the label is really low! Could they provide false info?
-
thank you everyone! Phew, I stuck to my 1500 today, and have only consumed 30g of carbs, while having had enough protein, guess if I follow this pattern, I should be ok..if I don't see an improvement, I'll try 1400 calories...I also made absolutely sure I get enough fibre seeing as I have to cut down on a lot of my fav…

I don't know, I've only just started today! I don't want to be eating the wrong amount of calories, as well as introducing more fat than usual to my body!!
-
Loool it's fine, luckily for all involved, my *kitten* might be bleeding but my sense of humour remains intact!!
-
Thank you so much for the mature adult reply! Yes this was not dark or black, it was rather red lol! (getting slightly graphic lol!) but it's made me less scared now!
-
It's ok, people like you will keep it interesting enough!il I go in peace!!

No beets, but I really have felt super bloated since going low carbs...and that is THE only change I have had to my life style in the past few days...I googled it and other people on low carb have had the same problem? I have to wait for tomorrow's appointment I guess...pah, I'm so annoyed
-
I have made an appointment for tomorrow!
-
Awesome!! I might invest in a box, for quenching naughty cravings ????
-
I haven't noticed an aftertaste drinking sobo!
-
I suppose you're right...is stevia a good substitute as far as sweeteners go?
-
Yes, I became aware of that, which is why I've cut them out as I mentioned lol! I've been having things like scrambled eggs with salmon, or turkey and egg, or smoked salmon and cheese for breakfast!
-
Thank you! I rarely eat processed food. I think the only thing I can think of, is the Belvita biscuits I regularly have for breakfast, which I have now cut out temporarily! I know I need carbs for fuel, but due to medical reasons I have to keep my carb levels low for two months!
-
yea, I have to really pay attention to the amount of fiber I'm getting, but I haven't found that challenging so far...I still have avocados, broccoli, raspberries and such in my diet! So I'm hoping the fiber intake is still alright!!
-
Thank you for suggestions people to NOT remove carbs from my diet...can I stress again...THIS IS NOT a personal choice! I am under strict instructions by my GP to keep carb levels low for two months due to an insulin imbalance! I normally love fruit and carbs as much as the next person, and always encourage a diet of…

according to MFP, today after breakfast and lunch, I've had 42g of fat, and 13g of carbs...is that too much fat? My absolute limit is 67g of fat and 60g of carbs
-
Ah thank you...I had a carb intake of nearly 200 too...all my life I think...And mainly from fruit funnily enough (And a cheeky chocolate here and there!) I rarely eat pasta, rice of potatoes.. I love bread, but only baguettes, french breads etc...my downfall is biscuits and pastry! But I've cut those out for now! I had a…

Unfortunately yes...I never diet in my life because I've always had food in moderation and exercised and I've never had weight problems. But due to an extremely stressful time in my life in December, my body went through a lot of strain...I've developed polycystic ovarian syndrome and the GP has asked me to go on this low…

Ah thank you so much! That makes me feel a lot better! Cause I keep hearing how people feel 'a fog has been lifted by day 3 and feel great' and I am not feeling anything like that haha! But I'm gonna carry on! How many g of carbs were you on in proportion to fat ?
-
I hope so..but I when I started I was 57.0 and 4 days later in 57.2...should I lower carbs even more?
-
I added fat and protein! Lean meats, salmon, turkey, chicken and lean beef! Almost no added oil! Everything grilled ! Unless I have creamy buttery scrambled egg (real butter) , is that what you meant, oh...and nuts!
-
I might just do that and educate myself, since now I am not moving about, I have plenty of time to read! I shall get myself a copy (Anyway, more time spent reading, means less time spent eating or thinking of eating haha!)
-
thank you for that...Today so far I've had 80g of carbs and I think I'll call it a day...I've had some berries and nuts, so it should be ok! I have been put back on the pill now from this month by the GP in order to kick start my system again into starting periods again...so hopefully once that starts, my PCOS should take…
-
ah ok got it, thanks!! That means I'm allowed around 1500 a day, which I rarely reach!! (The only thing I regularly go over are my carbs!) time for change haha!
-
ah thank you...so my TDEE is 1545...this means to lose weight I need to somehow balance my fat/protein/calories to reach around 1400? In order to lose weight...It is a bit difficult to say no to fruit, because I eat fruit religiously and pre POCS I would munch on fruit all day every day, but since my activity level is…

that website gave me 1288.. I'm 5'3, 28 years old and 57kg..10% from that and I should be eating around 1260 calories or so which isn't that different from what I'm eating most days anyway...I just feel due to my PCOS my body is struggling with sugar and insulin digestion....in the past I never had to watch what I eat so…
