I've been on 1200 calories/120 carbs now for about 3 months. I get enough food and usually have some to spare at the end. I plan my meals in advance and I am learning on how to make better choices.

The dietitian/nutritionist has me on a low carb lifestyle. It's not that bad. Just give up the rice, bread and all the starches! Friend request sent, maybe we can help each other with ideas

We all need some good old motivation! Friend requests sent to several.

Welcome back colonelkorndog, we all get sidetracked but at least you came back. I broke the bone in my shoulder in July and I am still recovering from it. I'm 61 and have been on this weight loss journey for awhile now. Sent request.

Oh my visiting Onederland would be a dream come true. I have been on mfp for 601 days of logging. I have lost some weight but feel I need more challenges and accountability for my actions.
-
You sound like me!! I've been trying for over a year. I need more accountability and mfp buddies!

I have a wellness center in my area. What has kept me on track is water aerobics! Look around your area and see if your Parks & Recreation Dept. has some sort of pool and group excercise.
-
I had to change up my routine, I was doing water aerobics 4x a week and swimming. I am losing inches but no weight. She said I had to change it up. Now I do circuit 3x and water 2x. Just started doing this. I looking for results also! Good Luck.

I took this drug 14 years ago and had to have open heart surgery last year to replace my mitral valve with a cow valve. There is NO quick fix to weight loss. Just eat right. And, by the way I gained all of the weight I lost. 80 lbs.

Thanks so much for sharing your journey. I have read many times on here that maintenance is worse that losing the weight. Good Luck in the continuation of your journey.

I belong to our local wellness center, we have several wellness centers in our area that have lap pools. We do water aerobics. Check your area to see if there are any available. Yes the membership is well worth for what I get out of it.

Fasting, juicing = NO. Just eat right. There is no quick fix.

I hope those who have more knowledge than I do will respond to this. From what you have said I don't think you are eating enough if your are doing that much exercise.

Khols for sure! Great name brands.

You can keep eating pancakes and waffles but you have to have them within your calorie limit for the day!!! Try yogurt, whole wheat english muffins, cereal with skim milk. Eggbeaters in a good omelet with spinach and mushrooms. This is a new way of eating a new journey. No foods are off limits you just have to stay within…

I have a fitbit flex which I wear 24/7. I didn't link it to MFP since the 2 give different results for exercise calories burned. I input into fitbit every evening.

Congrats to you on what you are doing and it's working great! I am so glad you posted this, you will never know how much I really appreciate it. I haven't lost anything in weeks. The scales are stuck. But, I have been losing inches. I do aqua aerobics 4x a week and swim 2x a week. Pants and shirts are getting bigger by the…

13 pounds is alot of weight. It looks like you only started in May. You did not gain the weight overnight and you are not going to lose it overnight. Just keep on doing what you are doing. I would tell my parents that I wanted to learn healthy eating habits.

That is a BIG nsv not a mini! Congrats to you and great job!
