  • thanks for the input - I knew some was weight gain from still eating as if I am doing 2 hours of cardio but I was trying to understand that your body shape changes with the lifting as well - just didn't want to fool myself.
  • Yes I did it for a month. Didn't change anything in relation to weight loss - felt great and was nice to have a clear mind at all times - however, I have no intention of cutting my red wine out of my life 4ever so I have to learn how to make it fit in and be reasonable with it.
  • No - I don't, I feel that some of the recovery is a little long - and being that I do the workout in the AM before I head to work I need to be mindful of the time. So if I don't need it I don't take the full time.
  • just got mine as well - does anyone know if your heart rate will sync with the machine you are using i.e. spin bike. MY Polar chest strap syncs with the bike and wondered if this will as well?
  • yes - my plan is - 15% however they (book's authors) recommend not to cut - so wondered what others have done
  • I melt it over nice hot pasta, with fresh herbs - taste like a rich cheesy pasta sauce but its not
  • Yeah - I'm afraid of the answer - like the trainer but not sure I agree with her - however I am no expert!
  • what is the difference between the two - they are both done in groups
  • Just wear your prescription glasses I've been wearing them for years wether I swim in the pool or ocean - where my presciption sun glasses as well - you'll get use the waterdrops on your lenses!
  • Try a "Buff" - www.buffcanada. - every colour/fabric imaginable I have about 8 - and also use them when I am housecleaning, UV protection so great for the beach and gardening, cooking as hair in the food is so gross and if I am to damn lazy to do my hair when I go out..
  • Pls add me as well - have about 9lbs left to go than I want to reduce my body fat and plan on doing that through lifting. Although when I loose those 9lbs BMI still will be slightly overweight but I don't pay much attention to that - don't think my physic will look better at a much lower weight The last 10lbs I have been…
  • I did cold turkey after day 3 it was gone - never went back to coffee or anything with caffeine - until they subside you have to do the usual remedies for headaches (although they didn't work for me) or suck it up
  • I love it and will not give it up - it has to be incorporated into my eating lifestyle - I want my wine so I will gladly elimnate something else - i.e. other treats not real food and I would rather work out longer than not have any
  • I drink my red wine faithfully - absolutely love everything about it! I can pass on everything else - but not my red wine. I have decided though I will be sober for October - no particular reason - just another challenge to make sure I am still the driver and the wine isin't it. I did this in February and don't think by…
  • I am doing this as well for October - I too have a lousy most difficult 10lbs to go so - the scale can drive you mad
  • I think you need to look at the ingredients of the cereal bar vs. the homemade loafs. Calories alone do not determine if one thing is better for you than something else with the same amount of cals.
  • Here's what you do: SW:170 CW:149.6 GW: 140 Weigh in Dates: 10/1 149.6 10/8 10/15 10/22 10/28 End of Month (or whatever weigh in days you use) Total weight lost: Favourite pumpkin receipe - a curry pumpkin soup. Looking forward to this challenge - hanging up my wine glass for the month of October so I can see how much or…
  • I would drink a couple of glasses a night and more on the weekends. I work out alot so I am maintaining my weight but I still want to loose another 10lbs. Plus I know red wine is good in moderation - but I am an all of nothing type of individual - so I'll refrain for a month. Did it in February - and did feel good although…
  • thought about this all morning and have decided to make the commitment - need to see for myself if my red wine habit does or does not have an effect on my weight loss.
  • I would luv to join and get back to lifting and weight training. Any suggestions on programs to do at an in-home gym?
