I've been doing no booze since August 25th and I'm going until October 12th. It's really not THAT hard if you put your foot down :)
  • it is when booze is an every day thing... like a six pack a day. :) basically the cycle won't stop til the booze goes bye bye.

The one that has worked best for me is giving up processed foods and sugar and limiting alcohol. If you have a couple of beers a week, you're fine, but if you're drinking all the time, never gonna happen.

I'm doing a 45 day no alcohol/sugar/junk food and I'm done October 12th. I did no sugar for lent this year and lost about 8lbs.

You are what you eat really does mean something.

thought about this all morning and have decided to make the commitment - need to see for myself if my red wine habit does or does not have an effect on my weight loss.
  • how much do you drink debants? you can do it!

I would drink a couple of glasses a night and more on the weekends. I work out alot so I am maintaining my weight but I still want to loose another 10lbs. Plus I know red wine is good in moderation - but I am an all of nothing type of individual - so I'll refrain for a month. Did it in February - and did feel good although sometimes after a crappy day at work I would have luv to pour a glass - but it was soda water instead.
