  • Today was Day 2 for me - Speed 1.0. What I've noticed is that I'm a lot more sore this time around than I was when I had started T25 in July. Maybe it's because I haven't worked out in about 2 months. haha But it feels good to get back into it. Plus it felt good to get up early on my birthday and get moving! I think Speed…
  • Hello everyone! My name is Lesley. I'm going to be 28 tomorrow (11/26) and I work 2 part time jobs and go to school full time. I got married last year and we have 1 dog. No kids yet, but we are planning to starting trying within the next year. I have been on a weight loss journey for close to 3 years now. I started in Feb.…

  • You're welcome! And yea, when you aren't eating enough that will happen. And I'm sure the job doesn't help either. My ad is a for kindle... but that's probably because I've been on Amazon a lot lately buying books for my courses that start on Monday!
  • You're going to get a lot of confusing info about this that will make you even more confused. Everyone has different theories of how it works, but this is what I did. I ran into the same issue when I was trying to figure out mine. What I did was pick a middle ground between the "little to no exercise" and "light exercise".…
  • I make shakes with mine. I usually buy some frozen fruit (fav. is strawberries) and either almond milk or coconut milk. I usually but together 1 cup of frozen strawberries, 1 cup of either almond or coconut milk, and 1 scoop of protein powder, put in a blender and mix til smooth.
  • I use a heart rate monitor for mine. It's a really great tool to have because everyone is different so it's one of the best ways to really measure your burn. I would recommend picking one up. Any of the Polar ones are really good. I got mine, a Polar FT4, for about $55 on Amazon.com about 2 years ago.

  • I've been wondering the same. It would definitely be nice to have more friends that are doing JMBR.
  • I'm a little tired today, but I think that's because I got to bed later than I normally do last night and not because of the workouts. My muscles are sore and I did have a harder time doing some of the moves today because of that, but my energy is still pretty high. So, in essence, I'm tired but I have a lot of energy. Not…
  • I get up at 4:45am every morning so I can workout., because as you said, if I don't do it in the morning, it doesn't get done. Here are some of the 'tricks' that I use to help me: 1) Get to bed early. I don't care what I'm doing, I am in bed by 10:30pm the LATEST. Some nights I go earlier than others, but I always get to…

  • Hello everyone! My name is Lesley and I'm a 27 year old Financial Aid Counselor at a college in Boston. I live in RI so I spend 4 hours a day just commuting back and forth to work. :grumble: I don't have any kids yet, but I have 1 dog and 2 birds that are my babies. The past few years I have made my health my priority. I…
  • Hello! I just started it yesterday! I'm super pumped about it right now so I'm not too concerned with sticking to it, but I know at some point, I'll get bored and lose steam. It would be nice to have someone doing is along side me! Anyone who's recently started can add me as a friend if you'd like!

  • I say wait it out and be patient. 2 weeks is nothing. I just had 4 weeks where my scale fluctuated between the same 3 lbs. But I still stuck to my schedule and kept at it because I could see/feel changes elsewhere - my clothes were looser, and my muscles were getting more defined. It happens to everyone and you just need…

  • I tried it for a week when I first started trying to lose weight. It made me angry and I was STARVING. On that "diet" you are not eating enough calories. I only lasted a week on it and I actually gained 2 lbs, even though I stuck to my meal plan religiously.
  • I completed the first 3 weeks of Insanity before getting kidney stones and had to stop. At that time, I weighed 247 lbs. Was it hard? Abso-freaking-loutely. But was it doable? Yes. The 45 minutes video took me about 60 minutes to get through because I had to pause it. BUT if you do decide to start it, what you have to…

  • I'm not buying any at all because I know what will happen if I do... I'll eat the whole freaking box in one day. I was in girl scouts myself and I was always that one in my troop that sold the most cookies (thanks to my parents bring the order forms to work). But a few people at work have their daughters in Girls Scouts...…

  • http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/ - She also has a cookbook called 'Well Fed' that is great http://whole9life.com/ - Melissa and Dallas Hartwig are great. This site is all about the Whole30 program. There is also the book "It Starts With Food" that I highly recommend reading. And someone already mentioned it, but…
  • 400 calories burned for 45 mins sounds about right. I play it a lot and include it in my workout routine, and I burn about 500 in an hour. Just because it's fun doesn't mean it's not exercise! :)
  • I did it in Boston last year. It was AMAZING!!! I walked all buy the last 1/2 mile, but I still did it and that's what counts for me. But this year, I WILL run it!! :)
  • I have a BichPoo named Sagan!
