I think it runs all day, it's like a widget running in the background. I'm using Accupedo & it seems to accurately calculate my steps. It also uploads the calories burned to MFP every hour and automatically adds them to my diary. I like the app, I tried a few over a couple of days when I first got my phone and that is the one I preferred.

Well I did day 2 of the 9 week program today and I have to say that it did get better. I'm still a bit frustrated that a 20 something minute workout was close to 40 minute but I'll try and stick with it. The exercises ran more smoothly as I had some experience of doing them yesterday. Thanks.
