I lost a stone in 7 dedicated months with 1200 calories per day. https://palegirlgoeseast.wordpress.com/2017/12/29/how-i-gained-and-lost-weight-in-china/

Never put life on hold because of your size. It's easy to say "I'll go into hiding and resurface once I've lost the weight" but do not do that! I've met a lovely guy at my bigger weight and he's fine with it, thinks I'm lovely the way I am, yet understands I want to lose a few pounds and respects that (although, I try not…

Thanks both for the advice, will heed both now I'm planning my food for tomorrow. I'm content with the label cheat, for me, it doesn't demonise it, it's just not something I'd want to be eating regularly.

I go on my lunch break (in my situation, teaching English abroad, we get a 3 hour lunch break!). On a bad day I can be sat at my desk for a good 20 minutes weighing up pros and cons of going/not going, and psyching myself up to go. The gym is a good walk away but once I get there, I'm fine. I will always end up going…

Well here's a sample of the vegetarian option - it's definitely an improvement.

Hmm... he's Chinese with bad English so it was just easier for me to ask him for the same as what he gives the other foreign teachers. Being China, everything is doused in oil which is probably holding me back a bit too!

Ive actually just asked if, from now on I could have the vegetarian option which some of my other colleagues have and he is fine about it so I will look forward to more veggie-filled trays from tomorrow.

Well today, they gave us pork, beef, curried potatoes. I ate half of the curried potatoes then asked for some lotus plant and green veggies. I ate those, chucked the rest and have come home to have two boiled eggs and an apple. Hopefully if I continue this way I can still eat bits of staff meals (thus not offend the chef)…

A typical staff lunch which varies every day. I'll usually eat the shrimps and some fries and leave the rest. But ultimately, I think this is my downfall as I will not be getting my measurements right.

But going back to your friends unfollowing you. You have the right to post what you want on your wall, but remember, they also have as much right to decide what the see on their feed. I wouldn't take it to heart.

I'm not had a Facebook for almost 6 years now so I don't have these specific problems. However, I do feel that some friends try to sabotage my healthy eating by ordering in takeaways and bringing in candy to our apartment and throwing it on my lap. I used to feel bad for declining but now I am past caring. People say that…

I've realised as some have suggested, I'm not accurate enough with my portions. I realise that when I scan some items, it only accounts for 1 portion of an item sometimes even though I eat the whole thing. So many calories unaccounted for.

I hear ya! Been in the same boat many, many times... When do you normally exercise? I would highly reccomend in the morning, that way you are going to start the day positively, and if the worst happens and you do end up having an anxious day, at least if your food choices are sabotaged, you got your workout in! I'm…

Thank you all so much for the replies. I think I will definitely need to start taking measurements as many have suggested. Also regarding, leaving the scales alone, I think that is a good idea, as like has been pointed out, I was back in the zone and feeling pretty spritely until I saw that number. As for the photos, like…

I suffer from what I call serious food-envy. This is where someone can take in a box of cookies and I can avoid them so long as no one else tucks in. As soon as one person goes for them, I end up in this stupid "I'm going to die if I don't have one too" mindset, which is then detrimental for me as I also don't have a stop…

I would love to be 8 and a half stone, which is 120 pounds I think. I think today I am 9st exactly. I have just been struggling with this last half stone :(

What I'm thinking is perhaps have tomato and spinach omlettes or boiled/scrambled eggs every day, and say, every third day have 30g of Bran Flakes too, therefore I will be definatey reducing my sugar, but keeping my system running consistently too.

Thanks for all your input guys. I have read all posts and they are all helpful. I would still love to ditch the cereal and eat eggs for breakfast as my exercise class instructor tries to get me to do, but my body simply can't handle not having bran flakes and if I have to eat a cereal with sugar content as opposed to a…

I'm simply describing what happened to me last night telling it like it is. I ate eggs for breakfast from mon-fri no poo. Decided f-it and ate some bran flakes at 9pm last night and no later than 11pm I did a poo. I'm convinced the bran flakes pushed this through.
