Should I be eating more to compensate calories burned?

So I try to keep within 800-1000 calories a day but my hour swimming allegedly takes that down to just 300 calories. Should I be eating another 700 that day to go back up to 1000 calories logged, or is it a case of I have actually taken in 1000 calories and if I burn them I burn them?

    yes...

I am assuming MFP gave you a goal of 1200..if that is the case, and you are using MFP method you should be netting 1200 a day ..so if you burn 700 then you should eat 1900 - 700 burned = 1200 net.

With a person who has very little to lose, why are you eating so little? I suspect 1700-2100 calories a day is a much better goal. But only eating 800-1000 calories a day will not let you to get your nutritional needs. If you want to post your height and weight, we can look at a better goal for you. Also, do you swim every day?

I would love to be 8 and a half stone, which is 120 pounds I think. I think today I am 9st exactly. I have just been struggling with this last half stone :(
