  • I'm also from Texas, and a HUGE CHEESEHEAD!!!! Glad to see you on here mscheesy! GO PACK GO!!!
  • To not have fat face Christmas cards like last year!
  • How not to feel discouraged: 1. Take your measurements, and only take them once a week, biweekly, or even once a month. 2. Take progress pictures. Often you don't realize how much your body is changing because you see yourself every day. The pictures show what you don't see. 3. Weigh everything you put into your mouth so…
  • What do you do when you get home from work? Do you go straight to bed? Most likely, no...except maybe on Wednesdays. If you aren't going straight to bed, you have time to workout. If you have time to sit and watch TV, you have time to workout. I'm a full time employee, have a toddler, husband, dog and a house to take care…
  • Traveler...(I'm slightly jealous)
  • I've heard of people mixing it with applesauce and eating it that way, then chugging water afterwards. What flavor did you get though? I think Peaches and Cream is the only one that isn't so rough (from what I hear). I have that flavor and it doesn't bother me to drink it. Just have to have ICE COLD water and shake it…
  • Congrats on the success! You look amazing!!! And I love the green on you :)
  • I walk everyday anywhere between 2.5-5 miles. I started the elliptical this week only because I can go further, faster on my lunch break, and it also burns more calories than walking. Even still, I still walk at night. I find it to be a great exercise, plus you have the added bonus of clearing your mind! Keep up the great…
  • Hoping this works! First time posting a picture. First pic was at the end of last year (Can you believe this was sent out on our Christmas cards???) Progress pic was this morning! SW: 197.4 CW: 178.5
  • I'm not where I want to be yet, but the thing I'm noticing as I'm losing weight is taking more pictures! Seriously...almost every day I take a "selfie". I've never been a picture taker before. Now I can't seem to help it! Confidence is shining bright :)
  • We have free range to all the chips, cookies, candies, sodas, snacks you can imagine....and they all sit right outside of my office. Literally, I look through my window and see the chocolates, cookies, chips, coffee, tea, trail mix and granola bars. It's very difficult to look past, but I find that if I bring my own snacks…
  • Tips: 1. Get a digital food scale and weigh EVERYTHING. You would be surprised how much you might overestimate your calorie intakes. 2. Get a heart rate monitor and don't base your calories burned off of the calories that automatically populate in MFP. They tend to be overestimated. 3. Take measurements and pictures.…
  • ^^Ha! That's what I was thinking (which is what led me to clicking on the topic anyway)! Edited to add: Why not just do the SEE plan? Stop Eating Everything. Really, I'm over the fad diets. If it works for you, go for it. I'm sure you will feel better at the end of the day by not putting "crap" into your body. But changing…
  • I'm not sure of the Aldi one, but I have a Polar Loop activity tracker and I love it. I just ordered my heart rate monitor today and will be putting it to use tomorrow. Even though you don't eat back the calories, it might be encouraging to see how much work you are doing. Sometimes seeing it will make you push harder, or…
  • Wow, you are very stunningly beautiful! Even in your before pic, you have a very beautiful face (my husband thinks so too)! Congrats on the success!
  • Feel free to add me! I'm currently hovering 182 and my goal weight is 125. We can lose this weight together! And congrats on your success thus far!!!
  • Congrats on the loss so far! That's awesome! Feel free to add me. I'm here everyday with interactions and an open diary!
  • Theoretically, yes. BUT doing that could lead to all kinds of health problems. The best option would be to exercise. Obviously we all have different lifestyles, but if you set aside just 15 minutes a day, it will drastically improve your health. Although it may not cause you to lose a lot of weight, you would see a…
  • Anyone can feel free to add me. I log in daily and very interactive with my MFP friends. I'm 26 with about 60 lbs to lose. My diary is open, too so you can see everything. I log it all...good or bad!
  • HAHAHA!!! This one is my favorite!
  • I'm the same way. I eat an egg white sandwich for breakfast, 2/3 cups of a starch, 4 oz of a protein, and 1 cup of veggies at lunch. For my snack in between breakfast and lunch I eat 2/3 cups of Kashi cereal dry and whip cream with strawberries. Afternoon snack is a protein shake. This is almost every day of the week. Then…

  • Congrats on your success too! I was hoping to be down some lbs. at this point (after all, it's been a month since I've joined), but I'm only down inches. While I'm happy to see success in some form, inches aren't going to get me out of the prediabetes stage I'm in right now. I've got to figure out how to get some weight…
  • Congrats on the success! I hear all the time that the last 10 pounds are the hardest to lose. I wouldn't know from experience yet, but hopefully one day I will and I can ask you for tips :)
  • Yes, that too! I always forget about the people whom are here to bulk, gain, and maintain. Probably because I'm not on those forums yet :)
  • I am 26 and have about 60lbs to lose. Feel free to add me!
  • I have the same problems on the weekends! I'll do great during the week then blow all of my hard work in one day (ex: Last Sunday!). On a positive note, I've been losing inches even though I'm not losing lbs.
  • I'm on a 16 day streak. I log in and comment every day. I also workout 5-6 days a week and log all of my food (good and bad). Anyone is welcome to add me!
  • Hey there! I'm also Steph...26 and about 60 lbs to lose. Anyone is welcome to add me. I log in every day!
