  • Definitely going to try these soon! Sounds delic!
  • CareyT...thank you so much for your post. While I respect the views of others who are against this cleanse....it's enlightening to see someone who has had success with it...albeit a short while. I couldn't have said it better myself, when you said it's more a mental challenge than anything...which is my ultimate goal....to…
  • To quote elle23 - "I know a lot of people try this to loose weight (especially after hearing about Beyonce's results) but that is really not what it's supposed to be about (just an added bonus)." I'm definitely NOT doing the MC for "weight loss" purposes, instead doing it to clean out my system of toxins that have been…
  • Awsome post Mangoaddict! I've been at this for a few weeks now and the motivation comes and goes. I always know I can come on MFP and read posts like this one and get that motivation back!! Thanks so much for your positive outlook! Happy Day! :flowerforyou:
  • Not confusing, however I was just using 2,000 as a hypothetical. Only once this week did I workout so much that I had over 1,000 calories remaining when I went to bed. Thanks for your advice though!
  • Thanks! I'll try that. I do notice when I eat eggs in the morning I feel more sustained.
  • I am eating a healthy diet and I'm definitely eating! I guess I'm just not eating enough. I typically "play it by ear" when it comes to my food (whatever I'm in the mood for). I'll start planning better and that may help. My daily goal is 1200 as well.
  • I would definitely stick with what your HRM said. A lot of the times the machines do not accurately calculate calories burned. For instance, last night I did 30 minutes on the Elliptical Trainer and my HRM said I burned 449 calories but the machine said I only burned 100!!! Huge difference! I worked my butt off and know I…
  • Hi! I know you probably feel horrible like you "cheated". It's OK! We've all done it! :) It's so important to keep your healthy snacks on you and make sure to eat them throughout the day, b/c when you're out they REALLY help curb your appetite so you don't end up splurging too much. If you absolutely MUST go get some fast…
  • Thanks everyone for your awesome advice! Jessmomof3: that article is great and gave me some great pointers as well. I'm def going to set a "cut-off time" for eating at least two hours before bed. I'm just hoping my husband follows my lead, b/c many times I'll try to stick to something and then I'll see what he's snacking…
  • It's healthy to give yourself a break every once in a while. If you deprive yourself all the time, then when you do slip you're going to go WAY over your calories and it'll be harder for you to catch back up and you'll feel horrible about it. Allow yourself a little something. For instance, I ate under my calories all week…
  • Depending on how many calories I want for the remainder of my day I'll either have 3/4 c of Honey Nut Cheerios w/ 1/2 c skim milk (150 calories total). If I want more calories for breakfast and less for lunch/dinner than I'll splurge and have the Egg Whites and Cheese on a English Muffin from Dunkin Donuts (270 calories).…
  • Hello friends! Today was a good day! Finished my day under 1200 calories! Woot woot! Breakfast (10:00am): 3/4 c Honey Nut Cherios; 1/2 c Skim Milk; One 60 Calorie Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding Cup....YUM!! Lunch (1:00pm): Special K Bar - Strawberry; 12 oz can of Caffeine Free Pepsi Dinner (6:00pm): 2 Jennie-O Turkey…
