  • I love the bags of individually packaged frozen tilapia from HEB. Those are really quick to defrost and add quick lean protein to any salad! They are also great rolled up with some seaweed paper and crushed red pepper flakes! I Get fresh almond butter from the store and keep it at work and have that as a snack with an…
  • You devise your own contraption to keep your huge glasses on your face during home workouts.. When you can't decide if you're more excited about the new database changes you are rolling out or the macros you're writing for a quarterly report.. When you try to calculate the percentages of your daily food intake in your head…
  • I Loooooooooooooove my HRM- the PolarFT40. Give you a much more accurate calorie burn estimate! Also the Polar calculates a target heart rate range based on your height/weight/age profile and beeps when you fall below or too fat above your optimal burn zone! Also stores your workout data (calories, time, etc.) so it Helps…

  • I'm a glasses girl!!!! LOVE my glasses. Funny- when I take them off for a date night men are actually diasppointed! haah
  • They are my favorite fresh snack! I get them pre bagged and washed from HEB or Whole Foods :)
  • I am interested in joining! I already follow a Paleo type diet due to my gluten/dairy sensitivities- but happy to learn new recipies/ideas and offer support!
  • I thought I would have the chest strap as well- I have the Polar FT40 and so far I really love it especially for the price compared to a BOdyMedia or Fitbit type device. Honestly- I wear it right under my sports bra and don't even notice it! Just my 2 cents! :)
  • 30 day shred was a little tooo intense for me..but I like the Beach Body system..I liked Turbo Jam http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/getting_started/turbo-jam.do I think you can find it cheaper on Amazon then on the main site though!
  • I started a version of Paleo after testing revelaed I am gluten and dairy intolerant...it has been amazing for me so far- no more sugar cravings, migraines of extreme mental exhaustion, brain fog and fatigue. The fad diet part of it is annoying- I stick mostly to fish, turkey, veggies, fruit, almond milk, sweet potatoes if…
  • I am a dvd fanatic!! I LOVE any of the beachbody dvds- the cardio workout is 20 minutes and gets your heart rate up and is FUN! (they have a longer version as well, but I just did the 20 mins after my weight workout) The total body workout was amazing..only 40 minutes and lots of combo movements that whipped my body into…
  • Gluten and Dairy free here! I have intolerances as well- only been eting this way a little over a month now, but it has changed my life! My recipes aren't that exciting yet- but I feel that will come as I get bored with my more limited choices. Feel free to add me! :flowerforyou:
  • YES!!!!!!!!! I had the SAME issues... I went Paleo and it all went away.. I couldn't believe it! The main trick is staying away from sweeteners which creep up on you and make you crave sugar later anyway- and stick to natural sugars like fruit! Also need to eat frequently throughout the day to keep your sugar levels in…
  • I am gluten and dairy intolerant so nuts have been a great protein source for me as I also can't do soy. i prefer the wholseom nut mux by planters in the individual bags so I know exactly how many calores I'm getting (200) at a time and wont over do it! :)
  • Agua, agua and more agua!! haha.. all day long! I freeze my water bottle the night before I bike and it melts along the way..that always helps. And I'm a big fan of Smart Water during the day!
  • I always say- being blonde is like being Texan...it's a state of mind!!!!!!!!! Sugar Land Texan- representin ;)
  • SHout out to myself!! Haha.. my problem was not haveing the foods I needed with me during the day like I normally do to keep me full. the combination of not having lunch (what I got at the restaurant was awful and I didn't eat it..) AND I just started adding muslce..so I needed more calories on top of it. As long as I am…
  • Well I do have autoimmune arthritis- Sjogren's and possibly RA..but it just doesn't hurt like joint pain does so that's why I wasn't sure. I did just start lower body workouts with lunges, squats, etc..but no knee injury that I am aware of! Might have to get back on my meds which I really didn't want to do.
  • I just went through and researched the Up, FItBIt , Body Media and Fuel. I ended up with the UP and should receive it on Wednesday, so no review yet. The fuel had the lowest ratings of the 4 and Bodymedia and FItbit had the most accurate calorie burn accuracy. :)
  • Same for me...I am 5"10 140, maybe like to be 135?? It was the bloating and digestive problems that really made me look into the intolerances. Does www.Greenling.com deliver to your area? I have fresh local organic produce delivered to my house once a week...as a single mom this is a life saver!!
  • HI! Saw your post and wanted to offer some support! Check out my profile- I am gluten/dairy intolerant as well! I have been eating clean for about one month now...was difficult at first but now I can't imagine NOT doing it. I FEEL so much better...the weight part is an afterthought! Best wishes and let me know if you need…
  • Oh yes I'm in no hurry to go to level two. Usually takes me about 4 times at level one until I move up. :)
  • When you have to take the elevator instead of walking up ten stairs. True story.
  • Did you check to see if your protein shakkes contain dairy? SInce cutting out dairy my skin and health has completely changed- and I have suffered with skin issues my entire like! • Well it's officially day four. I added some really great glucosamine pills for my joints..actually feeling better today. Nots 100% but probably good enough to attempt the video again at least one more time this weekend! Thank you everyone!
  • Part of it is definitely getting back into the routine again..but I did these tapes for 3 months and it was the same every time! i was increasing in difficulty..but thats what I was wondering about. A week seems to be the norm for me.
  • Ok, that is true. I suppose I am talking more about muscle soreness. I can either stay with the same workout at level one until it doesnt feel like its making an impact, but then I feel like, what's the point. Soreness is good.. I just don't get why the soreness lasts so LONG for me. I'm not doing anything crazy or even…
  • WEll one way that helps turn into weight loss is when you have more muscle mass, you burn more calories, hence the weight loss. But the poster above is correct- its more about fat loss that "weight". Personally I would rather gain two pounds of muscle and have a higher tighter butt than lose 5 and be afraid to have muscle…
