Pickle juice works for me, too. So does a cup of broth with a 1/4 teaspoon of NuSalt to replace potassium and sodium. If I don't take it daily, I get awful foot and calf cramps.

I love Nia Shanks, along with the woman who runs the stumptuous.com blog. Both are great resources.

Look into Starting Strength, Strong Lifts, or pick up New Rules of Lifting for Women. I prefer Strong Lifts - simple exercises that kick your butt in a short amount of time.

I have a similar problem and when I was in boot camp my doctor told me to keep my legs very, very strong, especially my quads if I wanted to run and walk a lot without pain. It worked for me. I do *kitten*-to-grass squats after I read a bunch of reports/articles on how squatting just to parallel puts more strain on knees…

Hahahahaha. Maybe they know something that the last two hundred years of medical and scientific research, billions of dollars worth, doesn't know. For example, their discovery that you can get nutrients through your pores - why, it's the discovery of the century! Here I am eating my nutrients like a sucker.

What's your blood pressure like? I have quite low BP and I have the same problem. I drink two cups of broth with potassium every day to try to replace what's been cut out of my diet, and to try to boost my bp higher so I don't get as dizzy. It makes a HUGE difference for me to really up my sodium.

My guess is that planks and its variations would be more suitable than crunches and that type.

Hello all. I'm Michelle. I've been on track since about June. I'm down 31 pounds from January, when I weighed 229. I turned 42 yesterday, and I'm 5'7". Right now I'm wearing 14s and they fit well - not too loose or too tight. Starting weight: 198 Goal weight in 9 weeks: 178 End goal weight: whatever puts me in a size 8/10.

There are plenty of folks who lift heavy and do HIIT and run marathons on keto. It DOES take some time to adjust, but it can be done. I really regret not lifting heavy the first time I lost so much on keto/Atkins - when I got down to my goal weight my muscles were puny, I looked soft, and I had to eat so little to…

Nope. I figure it's just a bonus and assume calorie counts are off anyway.

I'm on my second copper IUD since 1996 - no problems ever. I love mine and keep trying to talk every woman I know into getting one.

I was losing a good two pounds a week until I started 30 day shred; I've not lost a pound since but I've lost maybe a half inch off the fattest part of my gut, which is something. Plus I feel a billionty times better and can get through the workouts, which is something. I'm hoping it will pick up in a few weeks. If not…

I was losing steadily until I started 30DS about a week ago. I'm telling myself that it's just my muscles holding on to water because I started working out, since I didn't change my diet at all. (Low carb.) I'm adding 25 - 30 minutes of walks on as many days as I can - but I'd be happy with inches lost vs. weights if it…

Level one, day three done. I can't believe I can do so much more than day one.

Level 1 day 1. I was surprised I finished - I rested just a bit but only at the very end, missing but a few reps. I really need to quit smoking.

Does she have time to do the Couch to 5k? If I had to do boot camp over again, I'd do what gnomelove suggested - that's what you're tested on and they'll take care of the rest.

I saw a "dry" spray the other day - might be worth a try. I generally hike in ratty clothes so I sometimes spray my clothes instead of my body - seems to work pretty well for me.
