I will take a walk around the block every morning/lunch/afternoon break. And I will stop ignoring my Samsung gear fit when it buzzes me every 50 mins to get off my lazy butt

I have switched to Low Cal from Keto last week (after a year and a half on and of Keto) because I missed fruit so much and I was unmotivated and not losing on Keto any more. I have had a couple of headaches over the last week but I have started losing again! Having been on a cruise last year I know what you mean about the…

There are not a lot of LC products in NZ. There are a couple of Sugar-Free websites that import stuff from the US. Mostly I just eat real food and the occasional ProteinFX protein bar. Their powder is good too. Weight watchers jelly is good for deserts, especially topped with a squirt or two of Tatua Farms spray cream. Oh…

Hi from NZ. Bought my Fitbit HR Charge just after xmas. How do you search for/add friends on the app?

Check out FB groups like 'LCHF - Low Carb High Fat' also. Pinterest is another huge resource for low carb.

I did that not long after starting Keto myself and found it very helpful to identify foods that trigger BS spikes for me. I had to cut tomatoes due to a huge spike after eating them. I reccommend a BS and Ketone meter over the sticks even though they are more expensive.

Hi I am Fiona. I have done the low carb thing without true dedication or success a few times in the past but this time round (starting in Nov 14) I did (and still am doing) a whole lot of research. I started with the 'I Quit Sugar' book, then progressed to Paleo again (been there before), then decided that was too many…

Is there an OKL group on MFP? Maybe keeping OKL and LCHF separate might prevent friction on the subject in future :)

So you recommend eating equal protein and fat %'s with low carb?
-
I did the macros assessment and came up with: 1600 kcal Daily Calorie Intake 25 g Carbohydrates (6%, 100 kcal) 66 g Protein (17%, 264 kcal) 137 g Fat (77%, 1236 kcal) So pretty much what I was aiming for

Yea I have been using cream in my coffee instead of milk and I drink a fair bit of coffee. I used to eat as much dairy but all low fat, now I eat high fat dairy. I am aware I need to avoid packaged foods and I have been on the hunt for more recipes to get more variety into my diet. My skin issues are pimples and dry skin.…

If I decrease my fat% I will have to increase carbs and or protein which is bad?

Thank you for the advice. I am crawling into bed between 8.30 and 9pm and getting up at 6 so I get lots of sleep (such a nana lol) but I could defo increase my water intake.

I ran a half marathon while still smoking, although it is easier to run while not smoking ti is still a lot about how fit you are and steadily trying to increase your fitness.

Sorry, dying of curiosity here. What are you doing? PM me if you don't want to post it in the message board :)

I tried another variation last night blending 1 x banana, 30gm oats and 1/2 cup strawberries (frozen-defrosted) until smooth. They were a little runnier and therefore flatter than my banana/apple version, but still yummy as! They are defo more cake than cookie texture so I might try them as mini muffins next :)

I have made these too but with 1 banana, 30gm rolled oats and half an apple all blended in a magic bullet. Makes 4 fluffy soft yummy cookies.
