One thing that I learned is you can pretty much eat whatever you want and still lose weight. But the best way in my opinion is to eat high protein, high fiber, low carbs, low sugar, low fat meals. I lost 8 lbs in my first 5 days.. then it slowed down to like 2 or 3 lbs per week.. The most important lesson I learn was to check the body fat percentage! Becuz most of the weight I lost was water in the beginning.. Now my body fat percentage goes down weekly!

Fat Burners only make u sweat more.. It also makes u feel like your kinda high.. lol. It can be a lil addictive in my opinion.. So if you have an addictive personality stay away from them lol

I would take them only if you want to increase the speed of burning fat. Some weeks u may only burn 1 lbs.. some weeks u may burn 2.. I actually doing some research on this as well.. but I can tell u that natural sugar from fruits is better than refined sugar from processed foods. I assume the sugar grams on the MFP charts are a lil underestimated.
