OH!!! I stopped drinking as much milk as I used to when I started on this health journey. My nails are HORRIBLE!!! This makes sense! I never had issues before. Hmmmm....Think I'll add some milk back to my diet. But in moderation of course. It does spike my blood sugars a bit. :) Thanks for the revelation.

What does it take to lose over 100lbs? Work, dedication, movement, and eating. John, you can do this. It didn't come on over night, and it won't go away overnight. You. Can. Do. This. For me, it was my health that shocked me into reality--but it sounds like you are otherwise healthy. Keep that up! :) If you are concerned…

We just bought the Cuisinart (sp??) 5 in 1 for Christmas. It's awesome! Lays flat, acts as a griddle or grill, pannini press...has a drip pan and the plates come off. You can also buy waffle plates--we don't have those; it would be so BAD for us! Had a George Foreman, but ours got so worn out. Love this one!

OK, first--don't live by this diagnosis! Think of this way (it sounds corny, but it really helped me!!!): You are A PERSON living with diabetes, not a diabetic! There is no quick fix, the link below was wonderful and will have very helpful advice. One thing I've learned is that you will have to find out what foods spike…

I have 2 husky mix dogs---Arwyn and Jorja, but no, I am sad to say, that I don't want to share. I have 2 cats--cool names (we think) Obi (yes, Obi Wan) and Geordi.

Hey, I was stuck for a while too. After the holidays I thought, "I'll be this weight forever!" But I decided one weekend that I was going to do more. I stuck much more closely to my meal planning (I wasn't eating as well as I could or should). That jump started my body. Don't know how or why, but it did. I think that one…

Then my hubby is a tight second! LOL! You are so right!

Yes, you were harsh! OP, please seek a doctor's help. They will help you.

Welcome! Feel free to add me as a friend. I also live with diabetes. I've lost 106 lbs. in a year because of changes in my lifestyle and food intake. :) I wish the best of luck. When you can be here, be here! It's been a great help to me.

You are awesome! Thanks. It's my birthday, I'm gonna treat myself with one.

This! With that said, I love the elliptical. It's my cardio of choice (next to Zumba). I do strength training too so I know that helps. When I use it, I do add in my specifics-- age, weight. I also use an interval setting. Just my thoughts...

That is my machine/cardio of choice! I've lost a lot doing a combo of things. But I try for the elliptical 2-3 times a week for about 45 min per session. I hate the treadmill--loathe it! The Elliptical is great for me knees too.

Awesome! Keep it up girl. You look fab!

You look like a different woman! Keep it up!!

The Lord of the Rings trilogy--after seeing the second Hobbit movie, I wanted to see what really happened in the books! Love the movies. Loving the book!

I am a member of Gold's in my hometown. I am a Curve's drop-out and left another gym (the Y). I was VERY intimidated but I LOVE my gym. The trainers are friendly and helpful and the other staffers are awesome. We have classes all the time and the amenities are fantastic--tanning (which I do not partake in) hydro-massage,…

The only way I've figured it out is go to frequent and delete. I sometimes wish I could start over! There are many things I no longer eat as well.

I'm actually the opposite. I've been craving more. I think my taste buds have changed actually-they say it happens every so many years. I bet you just overdid it.
